Merged Musk buys Twitter!/ Elon Musk puts Twitter deal on hold....

Want to know who else doesn't know if the attack in Allen, Texas was ideologically motivated?

The ADL.

But don't let that slow anyone down from blabbering on about white supremacy, anti-Semitism, conspiracy theories, 4-chan, Apartheid, etc.

Your source says...

Overall, Garcia’s writings and on-line postings depict a troubled—and quite possibly experiencing mental illness—misogynistic loner who had few meaningful connections with others, especially women, and whose racism, particularly towards people of Asian and Muslim/Middle Eastern backgrounds, led him on a self-radicalizing path towards white supremacist and neo-Nazi ideas.

The highlighted bits are the bits that Musk is calling into question.

But it is, of course, par for the course that someone who is intensely interested in racial issues should defend the guy who is defending the racist.

Musk explicitly denied that the guy was a white supremacist at all. If you really want to follow him down that absurd, conspiracy-addled route, then go ahead. Let's just be honest about the ideas you're defending.

I'm defending ideas? Which ones, be specific.

You are standing up for Musk's insane conspiracy theories because, like him, you believe that the white supremacist movement is being unfairly blamed for fueling a mass homicide.

But maybe I'm wrong. Perhaps there's some other reason you're posting in the Elon Musk buys twitter thread. If so, then correct me.

Anti-Semitism, anti-Muslim, anti-Asian ideology and racism is not exclusive to white supremacy and the ADL trying to blame the actions of a brown man on white supremacy shows that they are nothing more than a ****lib organization.

It's your source.

And all that means is you don't understand (or pretend not to) the dynamics of white supremacy. He thought of himself as a white man. People are people and are susceptible to the same bad arguments. When people hear that there are a 'superior white race being plagued by undesirables', they might well think, 'well I'm white and superior! It's me they're talking about!' even if to most anyone else, they're neither white nor superior. In a lot of Hispanic cultures, there are indeed a lot of people who consider the people darker than them, specifically those with fewer ancestors from Spain and more from native Americans, to be 'the brown people' and themselves to be white.

So the ADL is only correct when you cherry-pick lines that seem to bolster your racist worldview, but utterly ***** when the wider context shows they denounce your racist worldview?

No wonder you are upset and stamping your little jackboots.

We may, we may not, but the point is nobody knows right now.

right, without some rambling manifesto there really isn't anything to point to what could have possibly motivated a nazi covered in massive nazi tattoos. certainly you'd agree he has earned the benefit of the doubt that his undisputed nazi beliefs could have been incidental to whatever motivated him to murder a bunch of people he hated

The idea that you can't be a white supremacist if white supremacists don't consider you white enough is plainly false.

Apologies if this has already been discussed, but in a CNBC interview, when asked about his Tweets devaluing the companies he owns and/or runs, he said "I don't care".

The actual comment involved desecrating The Princess Bride by misquoting Inigo Montoya. This alone should be enough to condemn him to burning in Hell for all eternity, but the basic message is

I’ll say what I want, and if the consequence of that is losing money, so be it.

Has he asked the other Tesla shareholders if that's OK with them? What about his new Twitter CEO.

a pretty good litmus test of if you're dealing with a liar is if they act confused about whether or not the guy covered in giant nazi tattoos is a nazi

Musk getting blasgted for his Anti George Soros remarks that used a lot of classic Anti Semitic tropes.
He will not stop until he has burned every bridge behind him.
More and more I think that Time Man Of The Year award wrecked all controls he had on his ego, and now he had lost all self control.

Hmm.

It's a mystery.

It wasn't that single award; Musk is perpetually surrounded by a deeply devoted personality cult who quite literally believes that he and he alone will guide mankind into a Star Trek future.

Yup. If you spend years surrounded by sycophants, it must be difficult to keep a sense of reality.

Aleks Krotoski explores how Silicon Valley culture has led to a growth in the cult of personality.

This kind of worship has been hot housed in Silicon Valley ever since Steve Jobs burst out of his garage and onto the scene.

Here, we take a look at how Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk and others came to be regarded as the charismatic high priests in a new dark age. and ask what that says about us.

But, with the trial of Elizabeth Holmes and the fall of WeWork, have the bubble burst?

Producer: Caitlin Smith

Well I think we can say that the bubble hasn't burst yet

Tesla shareholders in a tough spot. A lot of the value of the company seems to be tied up in the weird personal popularity of Musk as some real life Tony Stark figure. Ousting him might not be the best idea, even if any replacement would make objectively better decisions.

Gotta take the good with the bad I suppose.

It is possible, but as of now, no one knows. To pretend otherwise is nothing more than left-wing fapping over there preferred bogeyman.

Several of Garcia’s victims in the mall shooting were of Asian background, but witnesses reported his shooting seemed indiscriminate. His writings, voluminous and disturbing as they are, do not provide clear indication that he undertook his shooting rampage for ideological reasons, whether of a white supremacist, incel, or other nature. His personal demons alone might have driven him to the crime.

It is certainly possible that he is a white supremacist who happened to go on a shooting rampage for unrelated reasons, rather than a white supremacist who went on a shooting rampage for related reasons. The distinction, obviously, is extremely important to some people here.

It would be more important to me if establishing his alleged motive was the chief factor in determining whether it was accurate to call him a white supremacist or not, as it is in the cases of many white supremacists who have engaged in mass shootings of strangers at public venues; but since it's clear and verifiable that he was a neo-Nazi regardless of the specific motive for the shooting, I frankly care a lot less about things like firmly nailing the motive down. It's not like he is owed the benefit of any doubt.

There is quite a bit of evidence that he was motivated by right wing extremism.

RIP to all victims and my condolences foidSoy:
REAL MEN don't murder innocent victims :chad:
Just because the shooter is trans, doesn't mean trans lives don't matter :soy:
NO NO NO. **** all of this noise, its all so empty, fake, and boring. Every school shooting, to me, is the perfect time to be a completely horrible person and see this event like a sport or a comedy. The most important thing about a school shooting is to know the race of the person who did it, the kill count, and then compare their accomplishment of murder to all those who came before. And also learn intricately the life of the killer, so memes can be made. Because let's face it, killing people in an interesting way is an art that earns a lot of respect, just inherently. The tenuousness of life forces it to be this way, and to play into the moral banality of it as normies do is kinda gay to me. It's funny how pomp and circumstance to murder reaction has become this "forced solemn church" moment we all our forced to affect around in public in order to feel normal, when the reality is, I JUST KNOW a lot of people are just like me and want to revel in the Schadenfraude. The media ******* proves it. They will never miss an opportunity to cover the event and cater the coverage exactly for sick ***** like me. Because the heart of the matter is: we all know it's just a ******* spectacle at this point, and the spectacle and the killer are far more interesting the the boring ***** who were killed. There is always humor in darkness.
So the Nashville shooting was particularly interesting because a bitch broke the ER barrier (with a decent kill score) for the first time. This is like the greatest accomplishment of feminism ever, for a foid, even though a tranny, but still a vagina haver, to feel so empowered that they could take it upon themselves to pick themselves by the bootstraps, get their gear in order, and successfully go ER is a moment Valerie Solanas would be proud of. Only feminism could have taken biological women to the logical extreme of embodying the highest pinnacles of toxic masculinity

And you even have people claiming the nazis were white supremacists when Germans aren't even white but swarthy, see Ben Franklin.

Exactly Germans and Italians have white supremacists even though they are not white.

If I owned stock in any Musk owned company, I would dump it as quickly as possible after that statement.
