This was another mass shooting that was worthy of noting, it started out as a high profile shooting in the media. Why wouldn't it, an active shooter walking around a major US university campus randomly killing people, it's the kind of event that draws major media attention?
Rather quickly, the story just started being widely ignored – 'swept under the rug', if you will. Why would the coverage of a mass shooting like this go away so quickly? Hmmm, hard to imagine.
Let's see if "The Guardian" can shed a little light on this mystery.
Well, I guess the shooter being an "InCel" could be his motivation, it's a mystery to the cops despite the shooter leaving behind a note. The article linked above certainly infers that is his motivation. Who are we, as skeptics, to doubt an unbiased, straight-as-an-arrow rag like "The Guardian"?
"The Guardian"
provides a link from the MSU police, maybe we can find a reason for their inference there? Nope, not in that statement. However, the MSU police were kind enough to also
provide a link with images of the shooters note that "The Guardian" mentioned. Let's see what the shooter says:
There it is in black in white. The shooter was lonely and horny, that's the motivation. Case closed. Add this mass shooting to the "involuntary celibate" category?
Not so fast, I have a little free time, shall we see what the "other things" highlighted above are? I mean why not, surely "The Guardian" did not miss or leave out any possible clues or reasons for the shooters motivation. As "skeptics" it's the skeptical thing to do, to not accept what the media tells us with 100% faith. Maybe we can find the answer to my first two questions in this thread as well.
What else did the shooter have to say:
Not surprising that "The Guardian" left out these tidbits, it's just as likely this was a racially motivated mass shooting as it was an "incel" shooting.
It was widely reported on social media that the shooter was a black man as the attack was occurring, that's why the story disappeared from relevance so quickly.
I'm glad I could be of service, no need to thank me.
