Cont: Today's Mass Shooting (2)

Since it was the officials who weren't giving out information on suspects, how would that be the media's fault?
I know it's a difficult concept to comprehend, but there was a time in this country when media actually asked questions and done some investigating rather than waiting for officials to tell them what to say.

We know you really went out on a limb about the suspects, since crime is typically perpetrated by the same race as the victims.
That's usually the case but I didn't have to wait for confirmation this time primarily due to the media's lack of interest in the shooters.

In case anyone remains interested, two days ago every major American news outlet along with many local outlets who report off the wire, reported on the arrest of the 6th suspect in the mass shooting that they are all conspiring to ignore.

Yes, they did. Who said they wouldn't? I didn't. Your weak attempt at mischaracterizing what I said is a perfect example of what I actually said.

The Alabama shooting with 4 dead and 32 wounded has received a minuscule amount of reporting compared to the shooting that involved a white man shooting a 15-year-old black kid.

1 black victim versus 36 victims. The media has largely ignored the latter compared to the former. I know why, you know why, everybody knows why.

You should continue to pretend there is no bias when it comes to black on black shootings, it has high comedic value.

Meanwhile, there was a drive-by shooting in Washington DC with 8 victims and then an after prom party mass shooting in Texas with 9 victims. My guess is the coverage of these two shootings by the big three network morning programs combined will be less in total than that of the shooting of one 15-year-old this morning alone.

Gotta push that "OMG America is so racist!!!" narrative while largely ignoring real problems.

Considering you have zero knowledge of what information the press had or if they were requested by law enforcement to hold off, kind of hard to take them to task. But keep doing you, and make it a media issue and not a gun issue.

As I keep saying it is not that America is racist, although it clearly is. It is that you are heavily armed to the point of being over-armed and your people, of whatever creed or colour, regularly shoot up people of every creed or colour just because it is easy for you tp do when you are angry because you have easy access to firearms, legally and illegally and a libertarian attitude to the world which sanctions their use. Why do YOU keep making it about race?

The media has in fact been ignoring this mass shooting so much that NBC had a whole segment on its flagship evening news program reporting on the arrests of three suspects.

Ignoring it, really? It has made our national news broadcasts here on TV1 and TV3, as well as all the news channels on Sky TV (Sky News NZ and Australia, CNN, BBC World, CNBC, Al Jazeera and Faux). If the ebil MSM are trying to hide this, they are sure not making a very good job of it!

Myth busting. This is a skeptics forum after all.

Please don't reply guys and gals... you know it only encourages him and gives him the attention he seeks!

No. If he only only exists to be ignored he shouldn't be here.

When you are on this you should be engaged in conversation. If you can't be engaged in conversation you shouldn't be here.

Of course it will grab national headlines with numbers that high. There is still utility to be found in the anti-Second Amendment narrative after it was determined that it couldn't be blamed on Republicans or white supremacists.

Conversation, like debate, must be two (or more) sided. If one side merely continually recycles the same racist drivel then debate is impossible.

Then he shouldn't be here if he can't be talked to. The onus is not on all of us to make a circle around him bragging to each other about how good we are at ignoring him while never making eye contact with him while he gets a soapbox to spew hate.

Back to the topic at hand, which isn't me.

Jasper, Texas after-prom party with 250 in attendance ends with gunfire and 11 teenagers wounded.

The local sheriff says there at least four suspects, no descriptions given yet. I'm going to guess no one knocked on the wrong door in this incident.

I shall return later when descriptions are available so that I can be called racist.

Sometimes there's no useful conversation to be had.

"Guns bad" has been done to death on this board, I'm not interested.

This is what I'm more interested in:

I honestly think, certainly, we know that America is the only country in the world that has more guns than people and those guns are owned by about 30 percent of the population – uh three – three percent of the population. And largely they're men and they're largely white men.
This is what "The View" co-host Sunny Hostin had to say after a single black teenager was shot by a white man. I'll admit I don't watch "The View" on a regular basis but maybe this yenta and her fellow blabbermouths spend time discussing black-on-black shootings rather than highlighting the relatively rare examples of white-on-black shootings, I'm guessing they don't.

As long as this kind of propaganda is alive and well in mainstream media, I'll keep pointing out the fact that she is dangerously ignorant or a complete liar. Sorry if that doesn't meet the criteria of what you think should or shouldn't be posted here at the ISF.

Nope nope, its impossible that violence in Jasper, TX could possibly be racially motivated.
