Fox News knew they were lying about election

I wouldn't bet on that. It's like how all the reporters and comedians were constantly asked "wouldn't you be disappointed if Trump is not re-elected? Cause you won't have as much material"

And they obviously said it might make their job slightly harder, but would still prefer it that way.

I'm assuming they have some preference, but it doesn't affect their (un)professional stance.

As long as they keep getting their paychecks, they don't care who is in office. Again, their motive is greed. Not actual politics.

I doubt if Trump was elected that any of them would be fired or forced to have a pay cut.

You forget one thing, the US right doesn't want to build or govern, they simply want to destroy. And the last place you want to be as a destroyer is in government.

We have to accept that "The government is bad, elect me to the government so I can stop the government from governing" makes zero sense to us, but it literally is, in spirt and more and more in the letter, the core philosophy of the Right.

Their contrarian obstructivism isn't an act. At least not fully.

I wonder if that was part of the settlement.
Isn't it like .. obvious ?
Not necessarily.

Like I pointed out before... Carlson was not the only one pushing falsehoods, and Dominion was willing to settle the lawsuit without fox having to openly admit lying. If they were so keen on addressing Fox's lies, why specifically target carlson only?

More likely... he was deemed replaceable, and they can find another pro-nazi commentator at a lower cost and with less baggage who can appeal to more advertisers than just pillow salesmen.

All signs are that the sacking of Tucker Carlson -- because isn't that what this is? -- came about fairly suddenly. Fox announced this morning that Carlson's last program was aired on Friday April 21st, though there was nothing about that program that would have led anyone to suspect it was Carlson's final show. Fox apparently made the announcement by issuing a somewhat terse press release, stating “We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.”

Meanwhile, Fox isn't saying anymore and PBS reported that text messages sent to Carlson for comment have not been replied to. The New York Times reports that Carlson was "said to be" surprised by the decision. Fox also terminated Justin Wells, Carlson's senior executive producer.

Carlson is also being sued by his show's former head of booking, Abby Grossberg. Grossberg alleges she was subjected to a hostile and discriminatory work environment.

The truth doesn't have to have a "legal sense". They admitted they promoted Trump's election lies despite knowing they were lies because it increased their ratings.
Stating that Donald Trump a "Fox product" in regard to the defamation suit or commercial advertising speech is way off target. Which is what my comment was about.

Wrong. Being in government is a great position in which to destory....even destroying government. Always easier to work from within.
You seem tohave a blind worship of government..which is just as silly as a blind hatred of it.

So who has possession of all the January 6th video now that Tucker got the boot? Anybody asked that question yet?

And there is much lamentation in the Kremlin, since Putin just lost his #1 Media Stooge in the US.

Good question! I'm imagining there will be a flurry of lawsuits debating ownership, but don't quote me.
