I don't see how that's possible without his having been reduced from a higher rank for disciplinary reason. I made E-5 in a year and a half but it was 50 years ago so probably not comparable.

Nah, that's more like that guy running for congress in Ohio who has been lying constantly about his military service. He was in Afghanastan! No, he never was there. The Air Force has classified his service there. And he got busted in rank for being in a fight. No, he got busted in rank because of a drunk driving charge.

But he is running on his record of service in the military.

I would assume you did not start as an E-1. The air force is slow to promote. The current normal for the air force is to make E-4 in 30 months. But I do not know how they handle promotion waivers.

As a reference, the army norm for E-4 is 24 months starting as an E-1. With waivers, most get there in 18 months. I got there in 15 months starting as an E-1 but then would not be able to use another to get to E-5 since they had all been used up getting me to E-4.

But here we still have a guy who, after 4 years, was discharged at E-2. Suggests a few character weaknesses are present.
 
Why fast and pray? If God wanted him to be elected, he would be regardless of how may thoughts and prayers were sent or how much he fasted. :rolleyes: I always thought it very weird that people think their God can be bargained with or bought with prayers and fasting. But then, I've always thought religion itself is weird.
 
Fasting and praying is medieval behaviour at best. Shows a distinct lack of mental acuity and ability. Hardly suitable qualifications for a US congress-critter. But perfect for MAGA and the GQP.

Strange how they think its OK for others to suffer because people in the past did, but don't seem to be able to go the full way themselves.

Majewski’s campaign said last week that he was punished and demoted after getting in a “brawl” in an Air Force dormitory in 2001. Military records obtained since then by The Associated Press, however, offer a different account of the circumstances, which military legal experts say would have played a significant role in the decision to bar him from reenlisting. They indicate Majewski’s punishment and demotion were the result of him being stopped for driving drunk on a U.S. air base in Japan in September 2001.

Because getting your story out first is more important. It will get repeated ad nauseam before anyone takes the slightest glance at it. And then you can just claim it is a hit by the lamestream media.

And since your story is the first thing anyone heard, people are still going to believe it. Especially if they are somehow invested in you.

It was just an opportunity for these people to say something nasty. If it wasn't Lizzo (who is a classically trained and accomplished flutist anyway), it would have been something and someone else. That's their shtick - being nasty to others in public. They have few redeeming social values themselves, and just want to be still noticed.

I did start at E-1, but as I said, it was 50 years ago and I was behind in the thread anyhow.

Yes, and I had missed that. My bad. He, of course, claims it was due to a brawl in the barracks, as if that is somenhow better.

Yeah, I've noticed that about some people, including Trump. It doesn't matter how sad, pathetic, and disgusting it reveals them to be, all that matters is they get attention. It must be terribly difficult to be that emotionally needy. I almost feel sorry for them.
