Following the discovery that J.R. Majewski’s statements about having served in Afghanistan after 9/11 were lies, the National Republican Congressional Committee has pulled $1 million worth of ad support for the Ohio GOP House candidate.

The military records reveal that Majewski, who describes himself as a combat veteran, spent six months at an air base in Qatar, an ally of the United States, assisting with plane loading but did not participate in any actual fighting.

He claimed he served in Afghanistan and even went 40 days without taking a shower since there wasn’t any running water. He also frequently uses his military service in his congressional campaign.

He seems to have succeeded in that emulation, both as a person and with the outcome: Being a massive public failure, and costing himself money and supporters.

That's the first thing I thought about.

I have a relative, by marriage, who is in U.S. Army Special Forces. Everyone in the family knows that he might occasionally just up and leave for weeks at a time. Everyone knows not to ask where he's been, because they know he can't talk about it anyway.

This guy strikes me as one of those guys who hasn't matured emotionally or intellectually since he was talking **** in the 8th grade.

Ron DeSantis Appointee Resigns After Alleged KKK Photo Surfaces

A Florida Republican has left his job after a photo of him, allegedly in a Ku Klux Klan costume, made the rounds online.

Gadsden County Commissioner Jeffery Moore, a Republican appointed by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in July, resigned from the five-person county board of commissioners on Friday, the Tallahassee Democrat reported.

The photo reportedly shows Moore at a Halloween party wearing a Ku Klux Klan hood and robe, according to the newspaper.

The racist costume controversy comes over three years after another DeSantis-appointed official, Florida Secretary of State Michael Ertel, resigned when a photo emerged of him in blackface and dressed as a “Hurricane Katrina victim.”

Now gee whiz!

Considering that the POS DeSantis likes to pretend that he is so very smart and so very capable, then one would have expected that he would have known that having one of your political appointees dressed in a Klan outfit would actually be a detriment to one's political career.

Especially when one considers the fact that DeSantis faced a similar issue about three years ago with another of his political appointees.

Doug Mastriano, the Trump-endorsed Republican gubernatorial nominee in Pennsylvania, called for 40 days of fasting and prayer as his campaign significantly lags behind Democratic nominee Josh Shaprio.

The call comes after Mr Mastriano’s rally in Harrisburg was poorly attended and his campaign fails to gain traction, The Philadelphia Inquirerreported.

Mr Mastriano has often adopted the language of Christian nationalism and has come under fire for his far-right positions. Most recently, he faced criticism for saying in 2019 that women should be charged with murder if they violated his proposed abortion ban.

Mr Mastriano posted an image of hands open in prayer on his Facebook campaign page on Monday.

“Interceding for our elections, our state, & our nation,” the image says. The image also quotes Isaiah 58:12, which says “Then you will be known as a rebuilder of walls and a restorer of homes.”

I wonder how many of his followers are willing to starve for him? Not many, I bet.
 
and when pictures of him at Golden Coral come out he will explain that he meant "spiritual fasting" or some nonsense.

What really concerns me is that I think a lot of these nutters have no intention of fairly winning. They aren't appealing to the majority of voters. Just the armed militia types. They want chaos and violence.
