Want proof? Watch the news. We're sending Ukraine more HIMARS and planning to transition them to American and other NATO tanks. Soon, all of Crimea will be under Ukrainian fires and the few people you got your idea out to will have pretended you never existed. You'll complain but the bombs and missiles will keep landing until Russia gets out of all of Ukraine and returns to their 2014 borders.

It is easier for the U.S. to send rocket launchers and tanks to Ukraine than to win hearts and minds in Crimea.

The US has certainly a history and a potential to create trouble around the world through incompetent meddling.

We still remember their disastrous adventures in Afghanistan and Iraq.

HIMARS cannot defeat Russia's most dangerous weapons.

Russia seems to be doing an excellent job of changing hearts and minds in Crimea if the steady flow of Russians out of that area is anything to go by. ;)

...and it also has a history of committing men, materiel and money when it comes to protecting international law and democracy.

Of course, like any country it does so when it is in its own interests to do so.

If you want to talk disastrous interventions in Afghanistan, a previous venture by what was essentially Russia brought down regimes from Moscow to East Berlin!

I would add in giving Ukraine back their nukes. Russia violated the agreement that ukraine gave them up, so russia should give them back.

Yes it is, Russian Propagandist, when there is no penalty for them for causing the bloody invasion in the first place, and when you also leave them with Crimea, allow them to keep extra territory they have stolen in the Donbas, stop Ukraine from joining Nato, and remove the sanctions.

In what way are they punished for their invasion? How are they held accountable for all the damage they have caused? All the people they killed, including non-combatants, women and children? All the rapes? All the theft? All the war crimes?

Your peace plan gives them everything they wanted in the first place, and effectively says, oh, well, nice try, didn't work this time, never mind.

But that's because you are a Russian propagandist, and actually support their fascist invasion.

These things have to be assessed in context, Green Bird.

Did the US compensate Afghanistan and Iraq after its illegal invasion of these countries, in 2001 and 2003 (and they did not invade just 20% of these countries)?
No, I don't think so.

Did NATO compensate Yugoslavia after its illegal, 3 months long, bombing campaign in 1999?
No, I don't think so.

Did the US (Israel's main supporter) compensate Palestine for its more than 50 years long illegal occupation?
No.

Did Ukraine and NATO countries compensate Russia after their unfair and illegal economic sanctions since 2014, which have cost a lot of money to the Russian economy? Of course not.

Besides, when your house is on fire, the first duty is to stop the fire, not to try to argue about who is responsible and must pay compensations. People must take care of the essential aspects first.

Obviously, in this case involving countries, lots of people have different opinions about who needs to be punished, and how much.

If someone has broken into your house and is running around setting fires, and they won't stop or leave, the first duty is to kill them. You can't put out the fires when they're still starting more. And you don't tell the person they can have the house if they stop setting fires.

Whataboutism, as I would expect from a Russian propagandist. Irrelevant to the current discussion. Still, since you want to go there, Nato bombing to stop the genocide and ethnic cleansing of Albanians would have got UN approval it was not vetoed by, you guessed it, Russia.

They were not unfair, Russian Propagandist. They were due to Russia invading and annexing Crimea. If they didn't want the sanctions, they should not have invaded.

There was no genocide in Kosovo. The president of Kosovo Ibrahim Rugova was himself against the (illegal) bombing conducted by NATO (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NATO_bombing_of_the_Radio_Television_of_Serbia_headquarters). I suspect Clinton wanted a kind of revenge after the Lewinsky scandal, in 1998.

I have proposed a simple peace plan for Ukraine, which would stop the current violence, partly fueled by the West, and protect minorities.

Obviously, the goal of this plan is not to cause genocide, it is to help and protect people in many places.

You seem to be better at insulting people than in proposing concrete solutions.
