They are a near perfect example of a ventriloquist dummy, mouth moves at the beck and call of the hand up their arse.

Apparently, the French operate the lanes at the Dover border, whilst the Calais border is controlled by the Brits, according to the spokespeople. There are supposedly twelve lanes and only about four are manned; therefore, it is because those lazy French swine failed to turn up for work or plan for it.

Foreign secretary and Tory leadership hopeful Liz Truss said the delays and queues were “unacceptable”, blaming a lack of staffing by France at the border.

This awful situation should have been entirely avoidable and is unacceptable.

We need action from France to build up capacity at the border, to limit any further disruption for British tourists and to ensure this appalling situation is avoided in future.

We will be working with the French authorities to find a solution.

Here we go again with the trite meaningless soundbites. If it is 'unacceptable' why only spend £13K iirc when £33m was needed? I suspect the french are rather enjoying this. What is the French for schadenfreude. We have a Finnish word that translates as 'injury joy'.

Whatever. It was all completely foreseeable.

When will the headlines read, 'Enough is Enough'?

Another win for Brexit

Disabled drivers are being warned that their blue badges may not be accepted in popular European holiday destinations this summer due to Brexit.

Ministers are negotiating the status of the badges - which were recognised when the UK was in the EU - with 11 nations.

France, Spain, Portugal, Greece and Italy are among those "undecided" on recognising the discs, which help people park closer to a destination.

That's obviously wrong - it was something that stuck in my mind at the time as I remember a Tory telling someone this was project fear!
