If true then it's hardly surprising, the next step would be to use hospitals as ammunition dumps.

Whether historic landmarks and hospitals make good ammunition dumps is an entirely different question. ISTM that they're not set up for efficient storage or access.

Point I want to make is that alternate tactics using, one hopes, cheaper tech, can be employed simultaneously with shell and missile artillery. And it is being used, of course, but more as as air asset, a substitute for manned aircraft.

If one-way drones built of bamboo and styrofoam can deliver weapons (the explosive is the weapon, after all), then let them die for the Emperor.

I'm as outraged by Russia's war crimes as the next person, but your solution didn't work in Iraq, and Saddam Hussein didn't even have nuclear weapons.

Why piss around with crap like that when they are being equipped with very effective NATO hardware and are getting extensive training from the USA and UK in both effective tactics and strategy to use that equipment?

You might just get your wish, after all, what on Earth would prompt NYC officials to make and air an advertisement like this?

Maybe if Russia doesn't restart Nordstream after the maintenance shutdown and Germany et al. are prematurely thrust into the stone age the renewal energy utopia, the USA is planning on using a few of those [secret number] nuclear bombs they have stashed around Europe.

I have to agree. It is not their "designation" that is affecting how directly we intervene. Agree or disagree, it's based on a strategic assessment of the consequences.

I can't say that I objectively find much issue with deeming Russia a terrorist organization at present, but... the whole get in there and end this approach is not highly recommended for exactly the same reasons that it's been all along. MAD is a terrible thing to have to mind.

For all the flaws involved, I'm not so sure that knocking out Russia's forces in Ukraine is at all the same as the US going after Saddam. Going after Putin directly, of course, would probably be worse all around.
