Split Thread Akron police shoot unarmed man 60 times

Cops claim there was a flash from the car, but video evidence doesn't quite back them up

I know that the usual response to JFK conspiracy claims that witnesses saw a "flash" near the fence on the grassy knoll is that those types of weapons wouldn't have a flash.

So what about here? Would the alleged weapon used by the person in this case actually have a flash when it is shot?

Before we can even talk about whether the video shows a flash indicating a gun shot it needs to be established that firing this type of weapon would create a flash in the first place. Maybe it does, I don't know, but there is no reason to assume that it must.

I think it is very telling that they can't even raise funeral money for this dude.

Like they are just barely 25% there. And they are making a big deal of "he was handcuffed after he was shot". He dead, yo. What does it matter?

It was setup like 2 days ago and has $4,000.

Secondly, the fact that he was handcuffed after being shot, at least, 60 times is the point. Why would you ******* handcuff a dead man you just shot 60 times? How did you provide him with first aid, as per their claim? Why were they trying to toss his dead body in a squad car?

But, yeah, what does it matter what you do with the body of a dead person?

Ignoring the responses to the resident provocateur, as it's all under the bridge now and all, this!

Cops claimed they saw an unarmed man reaching for his gun, and in the aftermath cops claimed they performed first aid when the evidence shows they were actually handcuffing and stuffing him into a squad car instead. We have multiple instances of lies or at best demonstrations that the cops in question had some really ****** observational and judgemental processes, yet we're supposed to accept their version of events as gospel for the stuff we can't prove was a lie yet?

The point is, they justifiably smoked this guy.

So, all of the "they stuffed him into the car" and "they handcuffed him" stuff is pointless appeal to emotion, imo.

I'm kind of confused why they haven't released squad car footage. If they say he shot a gun outside the car, or at the police, then where's the squad car footage showing it? I'd be hard pressed to think they have bodycams but they don't have dash cams? In the video of "The Flash" we see there's a squad car directly behind Jayland's car. Where's his footage?

It would seem like an image from directly behind the vehicle would show Jayland's arm out the window, would show the gun, would show "The Flash", and would really seal this all up. That's odd to me.

Exactly, if they had clear video of him sticking his gun out the window and shooting they would have released it right away, clearly they do not have any good evidence that he actually fired his gun.

Of course "in your opinion", it's pointless and an appeal to emotion. That's why I put zero value in your opinion. That's why it means nothing, because you're here openly saying you don't give a **** how cops handle a corpse as long as you think they were justified in killing him. Which, as we all know, you've never, ever thought a black man that was shot to death was done unjustifiably.

You don't have to respond on my account, just so you know. I already know how you feel. Everyone here knows how you feel.

Come on even when the cops shoot an unarmed bystander on the ground with his hands up they put him in handcuffs and refuse to administer first aid for 15 minutes, you really think they would violate cop SOP and try to save his life instead of letting him bleed out?

I don't believe that skin color warrants any particular outrage in these cases; we should be looking at whether lethal force was justified. Seems fairly clear that this shooting was acceptable under the law.

‘Telling’ of what, exactly? What possible bearing does that have on this episode of cops shooting unarmed citizens?

In most societies, it does matter how government officials treat the bodies of citizens. Even those killed by cops without even being charged yet.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know. I've heard it all before. Moving on.

"Telling" in the sense that most people are not going to send money to a cause they feel has little legitimacy or merit.

Most probably feel he earned his fate.

That the cops should be able to execute the poor and unpopular with total impunity of course.

"I don't see race, therefore if I only hate black people I can't be racist" is just... the weirdest flex.

‘Most’ aren’t going to feel an urge to contribute to the funeral of anyone not an immediate family member, and ‘most’ of a certain segment of Americans feel that any shooting of a young black male is automatically justified.

But that’s not what I was asking, really. Sorry for not being clearer. What bearing does the relative willingness of strangers to help pay for the victims funeral expense have to do with whether or not the killing was legally justified?

Already answered. It indicates that not many people feel inclined to donate to a cause they feel is unworthy. Unlike this bubble we post in, there are alternate opinions on such matters.

As I said however, we should be focused on whether lethal force was justified. That is the most pertinent matter.

Yeah, we can tell you only want to focus on if the shooting was justified because it totally wasn't you that brought up the GoFundMe out of absolutely nowhere in a weird ass flex.

Er...wait a ******* second. That WAS you! That was you all like, "See? Even society thinks this man deserved to die since random people who have no relation to this man, but saw that he was shot 60 times, have ONLY donated over $4,000 of their own money to his cause!"

That's incredible. You know that we can see the things you post, right?

It indicates no such thing, in my opinion. I will grant one of your points….that a significant minority of Americans are quite inclined to accept, and in many cases celebrate, any death of a young Black male.

As I said however, we should be focused on whether lethal force was justified. That is the most pertinent matter.

You introduced the perfectly irrelevant matter of the funeral fundraiser, but now view it as irrelevant? Bizarre.

As for the use of lethal force in this instance, you have already indicated in this thread and countless others that you believe it was justified. Would it be unfair for me to state that there is no shooting involving the police and this victim that you would not consider justified?

I do not view it as irrelevant. It simply serves to reinforce the fact that only a small contingent of the ISF (maybe 10 or less) members do not represent the opinion of the masses.

We often lose sight of such scale, around here.
