I have a hard time seeing any other interpretation. Let's remember the laptop story was so explosive that the media buried it and Twitter blocked the NY Post from its account, despite the fact that nobody in the Biden camp ever denied that it was in fact Hunter's laptop. They even rounded up a bunch of "intelligence professionals" to sign a letter saying the laptop story was classic Russian disinformation. And now, some 16 months after the election, suddenly the Times gets interested in the laptop story?

The problem here is the chain of custody and lack of any control over faking the evidence.

In addition, there is not only no corroborating evidence, there is the opposite, evidence Hunter exerted no influence over his father's political actions. At most Hunter misled people who put him on their payroll/boards.
