Andrew Cumeo might run for Governor....

This is not so much about the NY governor's race as it is about 2024 and the White House. Is Biden going to run again? My sense is it's unlikely but I thought the same about 2020, so who can tell? If Biden doesn't run, the arguable heir apparent is Kamala but let's remember that she got the NY Times' endorsement in the primaries in 2020 and then didn't even make it to Iowa.

So who's left? Mayor Supply ChainTransportation Secretary Pete? Bernie Sanders, the only man left in America older than Joe Biden? Or could Hillary Michael Myers Clinton come back from the dead to resurrect my avatar's relevance factor?

Nature abhors a vacuum as do politicians.

You are correct. The Dems have evolved on this since the me too movement, the Republicans refuse to.

I don't think they have evolved in any meaningful way. It is just a matter of who gives them the best chances at the polls. Same as it ever was, for both parties. It has nothing to do with underlying virtue.

The "both parties do it" narrative serves your masters well, but it isn't how the world really works. Republicans don't care about sexual misconduct, in fact, they gave Vitter a standing ovation for not quitting when he was outed for his sexual misconduct. There is also the fact that the R's tout "family values" as a major virtue, yet they are often ones not practicing what they preach.

Your claim isn't fooling anyone. Dems have evolved and keep evolving, R's are the ones clinging to the racist/sexist past and keep working to turn the USA into an authoritarian regime ruled by white, christian, men.

This message brought to you by the DNC.

A thread about Cuomo, of course turns into a thread about bashing Republicans.

When some of your party is cheering on Putin, I will bash those Republicans at every opportunity.

Kind of hard not to bash Republicans. What have they done in the past few years that isn't despicable? Anything?

Funny that a thread about a womanizing, lying politician considering running again for the office he lost should drift into mentioning a womanizing lying politician who's considering running for the office he lost and his supporters. :jaw-dropp

"Drift"? The first response of the thread fired shots at Trump and Republicans...and you made it, lol. Lately it is just general condemnation of Republicans...someone even brought up Republican support for Putin...somehow that relates to Cuomo. :D

Maybe someone will add some Cuomo stuff. Like that he is considering running under a newly formed party, if he does run. Or that he is polling 4 points below the incumbent, or that only 24% support him running again. These seem like relevant facts to the thread topic.

Since the hard lessons from Clinton, Dems are pretty good at knowing when to abandon their wounded. I don't see the traditional big money Dem donors backing an Andy come back. The DNC will work hard to recruit a swing state dem if Biden doesn't run again; Northeast blue state governors need not apply.

The Dems should be looking at Mark Kelly, Roy Cooper, Jared Polis, Michelle Lujan Grishamor (she puts Texas in play) and Andy Bashear.
