Ed Jesus Guns Babies

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

Seems like more of a stop-gap to ensure that the State is protected by willing volunteers until such time as an army can be established after negotiating the requirements of the federalism.

Without militias, how else are these almost exclusively right-wing men gonna get their testosterone pumped jollies being big, bad, macho men?

True. I didn't think there was anyone more stupid than Lauren and Marjorie. But Kandiss completes them: she's the Curly Joe to their Moe and Larry.

Whilst mockery may be fun, the problem is that these people keep getting elected. In some cases it may be because they simply represent the correct party but it's becoming clear to me that their values are shared by a majority of Republicans and Republican-voting independents.

Fair point. I never thought I'd see the day that Georgia would elect 2 democratic US senators (and I've worked on some of the number-crunching internal polling), and was mildly ridiculed for that belief.

A new democratic governor, maybe not but at least it should be close.

Guns because we have the right to protect ourselves from tyranny.

This is not a new development? From someone running for governor of a state with 10 million residents? To make it a linchpin of their candidacy? This at a time when people consider a mandate for school kids to wear face masks in the classroom an act of tyranny.

Yeah I'm guessing she won't get very far, more of a primary fight between Kemp and Perdue. But we'll see, I've learned to not get used to conventional wisdom these days.

I saw video the other night of a woman at a school board meeting literally screaming at the board members -- it was a budget hearing -- how about family budgets? To treat the long term damage their kids will suffer from having had to wear face masks in the classroom. Other attendees were cheering her on.

They became so unruly they finally had to be escorted out by police. Fortunately, none of them were prepared to exercise their second amendment rights, though I'm sure most believed the school board was acting 'tyrannically.' :(

It's been a manufactured excuse to hang onto their guns. Like...since the beginning.

They forget, or likely never knew, that George Washington personally led troops armed under the provisions of the Second Amendment to put down a rebellion by farmers who were refusing to pay taxes.

Kanndass is posing with what appears to be an M1 or M1A1 from WW2. WT everlasting F? We know she's a reactionary, but is she trying for actual time travel?

I like bats, but not when they **** all over themselves.

Folks, it only gets worse.
So she's wrong on everything else, but correct on the use of the Oxford comma. I'll cut her some slack then; I'm a one-issue voter.

If she had a clue, she would get Nitzer Ebb to do her campaign song.

It's no longer about protecting ourselves from criminals, it's about protecting ourselves from...tyranny? Seriously?

H-E-L-P !!! :(

I just love the juxtaposition of a military rifle between pacifist Jesus and a widdle baby that deserves to live by its nature. It's like they don't see it.

I think that's become fairly obvious these last few years.

True. However, it doesn't really work to use events that occurred over 300 years ago when the US had been in existence for a handful of years and had no real standing army but relied on state militias. Times change.
