Cont: Corona Virus Conspiracy Theories Part IV

I don't follow this at all. Where are we at fact-wise? Wet market anomaly, or lab breach?

There's every reason to think it's a zoonotic disease that arose where humans and animals are in close proximity. There's little reason to invoke a lab breach. There's really no reason to think it's a bioweapon - it'd be pretty crap at that.

The thread discussing the origins of Covid19 is in the science subforum. This is the thread for discussing crackpot conspiracy theories.

So, I guess the obvious question is...has the virus been observed in a non-human host? As far as "crackpot" theories, I am not sure where we delineate that. You would have to be pretty certain of an origin to determine that classification.

I mean, outside of the 5G stuff, and that kind of tripe.

"A number of animals worldwide have been infected with the virus that causes COVID-19, including pets like cats and dogs, farmed mink, and large cats, gorillas, and otters in zoos, sanctuaries, and aquariums. Reptiles and birds have not been affected by this virus."

housecats get infected by their owners, but don't seem to suffer much or pass it back onto humans.

The Miller Park Zoo (Bloomington, IL) just lost a rare snow leopard to COVID.

Maybe library veterans can help the military veterans with they’re apostrophe’s.

Zippo?

I'm staggered that anyone could even find this surprising, given that Covid probably originated in animals in the first place.

I agree. Anyone who did not know this has not been following COVID 19 news at all. But it was such a simple question to answer that I gave it two minutes of my time.

fonebone, are you abandoning your mad dentist? What about the lovely Dr. Martini? Your legendary scrutiny of every data point seems to be slipping.
How about you demonstrate your world-class research skills and teach the rest of us a thing or two?
Or are you too embarrassed by the crap you post to revisit it?

Brave Sir fonebone ran away.....

I'm disappointed the CT crowd isn't freaking out that health departments around the country are monitoring raw sewage to track COVID-19 and its variants. Maybe later.

Also, even though the booster shot was a kick in the pants, I'm now over it, and as of now - not dead.

How does one post a reply to a post with a vague, yet nonetheless inane, question, then add a link (that only supports the sarcasm of the first post) for no apparent reason? Tom shows how he does it with this post:
Tom Palven, how does one go about scaring a snow leopard to death with nocebo Faucian propaganda?

Whatever is scrambling his thoughts in this incoherent manner is certainly up to the task.
