Seems some people just can't help making bad decisions.
Or
Out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Fox2News said:
ST. LOUIS – Emily Hernandez, the Franklin County woman who has a plea hearing scheduled for next week for participating in the Jan. 6, 2021 riot at the U.S Capitol, was arrested Wednesday in connection with a fatal accident on Interstate 44, her attorney confirmed.

This is the 22 year old woman you see pictured in the Capital with a piece of Nancy Polosi's door placard and is now charged in a fatal wrong way drunken driving accident.

That's a pleasant surprise from Ted Cruz. Hope he doesn't backpedal.

Cruz has clarified his remarks, to Tucker Carlson:

"As a result of my sloppy phrasing, it's caused a lot of people to misunderstand what I meant. Let me tell you what I meant to say. I was referring to … the limited number of people who engaged in violent attacks against police officers … I've drawn a distinction. I wasn't saying that the thousands of peaceful protesters supporting Donald Trump are somehow terrorists. I wasn't saying the millions of patriots across the country supporting President Trump are terrorists, and that's what a lot of people have misunderstood."

Ted Cruz backtracks on calling Jan. 6 'violent terrorist attack,' says it was 'a mistake'

Backtracking isn't the same as "clarifying".
Carlson himself said that Cruz didn't use the term 'terrorist' by accident.
He is just doing damage control, but it's clear that he meant what he said before getting bullied by Carlson.

I wonder if Cruz just wanders around in his day-to-day life with a used pair of Trump's boots that he randomly licks like a popsicle, and then sends Trump a pic, when he's told he's done something wrong.

The man is a sniveling coward. Jellyfish make fun of how little backbone the man has and his wife is, somehow, worse. If Cruz knew how to feel embarrassment then he probably should right now.

What a rank ******* coward!

Its a pretty sad day for America when a serving US Senator is a little more than a puppet for a scumbag racist TV anchor.

I watched as much of that interview as I could stomach and it amounts to Tucker smacking Cruz on the nose with a rolled up newspaper.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong. Maybe I need to call people's wives ugly if I want them to simp so hard for me they'll take metaphorical (and probably literal) bullets for me.

To be fair, you also have to insult them beforehand or else it might not drive the insult home.

Like I said this before Trump gets to treat people who will literally die for him with such callous disregard that you'd almost want to start thinking he's some dasterdly Charles Augustus Magnussen type with dirt every one until you think about it for 2 seconds and remember Trump is nowhere smart enough to do that and realize no they just really are that pathetic and will grovel and Smithers for a man who doesn't even see them as human.

Trump has something just as good as dirt: the overwhelming support of the Republican base. There is no R politician at the moment who can speak out against him without fear of political consequences.

....while Cruz was humping his leg.

It was disgusting. Just when I thought my disdain for Cruz couldn't get any stronger, he goes and proves me wrong.

If so, this will only serve to further polarize opinions. Will it be a good thing, for Dems? Midterms and 2024 will tell. It isn't looking good for Dems, at this minute.

Well well. A nice attempt to shift responsibility. So I ask the following.

1), Did Trump's and his supporters lies about the stolen election after the 2020 election not polarize opinions?

2), Didn't the hysterical, nonsensical conspiracy theories about the stolen election polarize opinions?

3), Doesn't the fact that instead of repudiating the nonsense but double downing on the nonsense by So so many Republican politicians further polarize opinions?

4), Didn't January 6, 2021 polarize opinions?

5), Doesn't the abject subservience of the Republican party to the most Holy and Divine Trump further polarize opinions?

6), Doesn't the fact that it appears c. 2/3rds of Republicans accept, even now, the self evident lie of the stolen election further polarize opinions?

7), Doesn't the fact that this nonsense is being propagated by high level hysterical propaganda on the level of the lies of Pravda during the reign of Stalin polarize opinions?

8), Doesn't the fact that Trump himself still shills the big lie not polarize opinions?

9), the fact that Trump has not been driven out of politics after all this nonsense is also polarizing. Is it not?

But then we learn from so many that it is the delicate feelings of Republicans, especially those who believe utter nonsense, that count and what they say about the big nefarious conspiracy of the Democrats to steal the election must be ignored. Why? Well because the feelings of Democrats or those who voted for Biden are just not has important has those of Republicans who buy utter nonsense. It hurts their feelings to be told the truth it seems.

But the burden must be shifted it seems from those who are overwhelmingly most responsible it seems.
