My mistake.

The link I looked at was the first Google response . I thought it was for 2020, it was for 2012.

Capitol riot: Biden to blame Trump for 'carnage' one year on

President Joe Biden will blame Donald Trump for the US Capitol riot as he marks the anniversary of the attack on the seat of American democracy.

Speaking at Congress, Mr Biden will say his predecessor holds "singular responsibility" for the "chaos and carnage", said spokeswoman Jen Psaki.

Investigators have so far arrested 725 suspects in connection with the attack.

Trump supporters stormed the building as Congress was meeting to certify Mr Biden's presidential election victory.

If so, this will only serve to further polarize opinions. Will it be a good thing, for Dems? Midterms and 2024 will tell. It isn't looking good for Dems, at this minute.

so he should lie in order not to "polarize further" ?
and my what metric could things be more polarized than "attempted coup" vs. "sightseeing tour" ?

and do you think that more Trump supporters would believe Biden to be fairly elected if he said more nice things about Trump (like thanking him for supporting the vaccination effort) ?

I'm quite looking forward to that. Trump should have a real hissy fit over it along with the GOP Congress whining about it.

These questions are sad and annoying. It will polarize only because a good chunk of the country has gone completely callous and can't do the bare minimum to hold Trump and his base responsible.

America was attacked a year ago. Trump and the peddlers of the Big Lie are responsible.

Well, at least someone was paying attention!

My additional takeaway is that Hannity was worried that Jan 6 would not be just a protest, but would turn out to be exactly what he was worried about, a violent riot.

It is also quite disturbing to find the that a mere journalist has such deep and widespread access within the halls of government. It appears he had direct, unrestricted, on demand access to the president and his closest advisors, and was actually giving political advice, some of which these people were taking and acting on. That is unprecedented IMO.

From 15 January 2019 - posted by myself.
Hannity is actually the most powerful person in the world. He can get The PDJT to pivot on an issue in a heartbeat.

Ted Cruz is getting absolutely **** on by the right for calling 1/6 a "violent terrorist attack".

Naturally the Dumb Tucker, Carlson is getting his chiding of Cruz in:

“It wasn’t a violent terrorist attack. So why are you telling us that it was, Ted Cruz?” Fox News commentator Tucker Carlson said Wednesday night. “And why are none of your Republican friends — who are supposed to be representing us and all the people been arrested during this purge — not saying anything?”

Some people are owning it though.

“Well, Ted Cruz can kiss his Presidential hopes and dreams goodbye,” tweeted @Jules31415. “It’s never a good idea to refer to your constituents as terrorists.”

It's tough to push the "it was teh Antifa and teh BLM" when you're openly admitting it was the GOP constituents and voters that were there that day. Notice the person didn't say it wasn't a terrorist attack, just that it wasn't a good idea to refer to it as that. A wonderful own goal.

Polarize my ass. It's POLARIZED! It's been POLARIZED. Trump and his cabal have seen to that.

Are you saying it's not spot on? That Biden is somehow twisting the facts? That Trump is not singularly the cause for the attack on the Capitol? That he didn't organize the rally at the White House? In itself a violation of the Hatch Act. That he and his minions didn't tell these people to fight? That after rousing them, he didn't send them to the Capitol? And then after the violence began, he did nothing for almost 3 and half hours to stop it?

He doesn't know. He's just parroting other excuses other trolls have made.

It's good to be polarized from their kind. Trump supporters are a cancer on this nation and Americans should excise them.

Oh and the Babbit **** was a good start.

This is such a joke. It's like blaming the French for escalating the tension with NAZI Germany during the Blitzkrieg. Everything would be just fine if the Democrats do the right thing and ignore the attack on democracy.

The attack on the Capitol wasn't caused by the Oath Keepers, It wasn't caused by the Proud Boys or even the blonde realtor from Texas. It wasn't caused by Rudy Giuliani, it wasn't caused by Don Jr.

It was caused by President Trump. PERIOD.

From a purely political angle, Biden’s and the Dems polling isn’t in the toilet because they’re being too hard on the Rs so acting like they’ll be hurting in the midterms and 2024 for being too polarizing is nonsensical
