KSI officers are allowed to set up front companies and join criminal gangs, if it is in the course of their work.

Are they allowed to kill someone (if, say, they join a gang and are required to go out on a hit job)?

Are you picturing something like a cross between James Bond and Lisbeth Salander? Does it sound exciting and dangerous to you?

As opposed to the inflatable life rafts.

So not a 'posh lifeboat' just a lifeboat?

How would you identify who was in the lifeboat in the dark in a storm when there are other lifeboats floating around?

What if you found the wrong people, would you throw them back?

I took the trouble to read Dr.-Ing. Hans-Werner Hoffmeister's report.

Then you can reproduce the portions of the report that specifically spell out each and every claim made in this post. You don't get to cite vaguely to a report we know you aren't competent to understand and pretend it supports conclusions you've drawn.

Er, ask them...?

So he is lowered down on a rope and asks the person in the water or boat if they are an officer. If they say no or are unable to answer because of their condition he just leaves them, gets winched up and goes off to find the next person to ask?

Well that's one question of mind that you've almost answered, although as Jay points out, you can't just say "it's in the report" and leave it at that. Particularly since you've lied, directly to me, about something you claim to have read in a specific book that it turned out wasn't there.

Given that you were unable “to get beyond page 18” of all those books about WWII with “attractive covers and five-star write ups“, it seems unlikely that you understood it.

You rescue people and then identify them.

You ask for the name and date of birth.

You have been shown their photographs.

But you are claiming there was a special secret mission just to find the officers.

Why would this need to happen if you were just going to rescue them anyway?

In English, he's just Dr Hoffmeister. As you've now been told twice.

(Just as, in English, we write "Chancellor Merkel" to refer to the (now ex-) German head of government. We do not write "Kanslerin Merkel".)

I am sure they would not use the term 'kidnap' or 'disappearing'. I think a couple of posters here insisted it was 'deportation' or 'extradition'.
Euphemisms don't change lunacy into sense.

Wanting to question the officers does not explain your imagined plot to disappear them. Your imagined plot to disappear them does not explain how the hell they thought anyone, "elite frogmen" or not, could hope to achieve it.

It's bad movie nonsense.

Vixen, do you still consider yourself to be a scientist?

Do you still think Anders Bjorkman is a reliable source?

Do you think you are capable to assess the work of Hoffmeister?

These are some more of my questions you er, "missed" Vixen.

Incidentally, would you like to provide the page reference for your claim that the WG was a hospital ship, or that hospital ships were painted a distinctive grey colour during WWII? Remember, you claimed it was in that book I own.

So why does this need a super secret ninja helicopter crewed by secret Frogmen when they could just be questioned when brought ashore anyway?

As it seems clear the Swedish Defence Forces were involved, any thwarting of their aims will be seen as a hostile enemy action, so yes, the persons concerned will be 'Wanted'.
