This stuff is great. On the one hand we have a discussion of how dems need to arm themselves to protect themselves from this gop threat. On the other hand, we have dems wishing death upon gop members.

At some point you might think a moment of introspective thought might occur.

I will freely admit to wishing death upon various gop members throughout history. The difference is, unlike the alt-right, I would never directly threaten nor actually conspire to make my wish come true.

Yeah...I don't think wishin' and hopin' will get you into their hearts literally.

The attrition of the enemy is never a negative outcome. The only problem is that COVID-19 jumps species so MTG, if she gets it, it could pass it to a human.

Dan Crenshaw Blasts GOP Freedom Caucus: They’re ‘Grifters’ and ‘Performance Artists’

Speaking at a Texas campaign event on Sunday, Crenshaw took aim at Republican critics who have personally called him out for voting for what they’ve described as a “vaccine database” to track and punish unvaccinated citizens. As the conservative lawmaker noted, what he actually supported was a House bill merely allocating state funds to update immunization information systems.

“You heard online that 80 Republicans voted to track you in a vaccine database,” Crenshaw told Republican voters at the Texas Liberty Alliance PAC event. “If it sounds too ridiculous to be true, it’s probably not true.”

Yeah I think it's a little late for that, Crenshaw.

Man who's campaign ad features him making a combat parachute drop out of an airplane to fight "antifa" says right wingers are a bit ridiculous.

I would agree that some of these people are more absurd than Crenshaw, but it's laughable that there's really any moral or intellectual distinction between where he draws his boundaries and people like MTG. They're all clowns, time will tell which the frothy mouthed right wing base will find more entertaining.

Just for the record, one of the reasons Palin gives for refusing to be vaccinated is, she says she has already had Covid-19 and believes she has natural immunity. Palin was reported as having the virus last March in People magazine.
March 31, 2021 - Sarah Palin has tested positive for COVID-19, and she's urging others to continue taking the pandemic seriously. The former governor of Alaska and 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee-turned-TV personality confirms in a statement to PEOPLE that she contracted the coronavirus as did some of her family members, including 12-year-old son Trig. link to article in People

If that's the case then she really needs to read up on the latest science, and in particular that related to the Omicron variant. Immunity acquired by infection lasts less than 6 months and doesn't appear to provide very much immunity against Omicron.

The new report from the Imperial College London COVID-19 response team estimates that the risk of reinfection with the Omicron variant is 5.4 times greater than that of the Delta variant. This implies that the protection against reinfection by Omicron afforded by past infection may be as low as 19%.

https://www.imperial.ac.uk/news/232698/modelling-suggests-rapid-spread-omicron-england/

People hoping that Omicron would be a magic bullet by being highly infectious, but not at all serious are also likely to be disappointed.

The study finds no evidence of Omicron having lower severity than Delta, judged by either the proportion of people testing positive who report symptoms, or by the proportion of cases seeking hospital care after infection.

OTOH, being triple vaccinated does seem to provide a fair amount of immunity from symptomatic infection even if it isn't perfect.

Depending on the estimates used for vaccine effectiveness against symptomatic infection from the Delta variant, this translates into vaccine effectiveness estimates against symptomatic Omicron infection of between 0% and 20% after two doses, and between 55% and 80% after a booster dose. Similar estimates were obtained using genotype data, albeit with greater uncertainty.

In an attempt to show how "Not Racist" the MAGAchud are, MTG resorts to using racist slurs...

From: Business Insider
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia attracted criticism for using a term widely seen as a racial slur in boasting of the racial diversity those who support former President Donald Trump...."When I walked in yesterday, I was like, what kind of people come here?" Greene said. "So I'm walking around and seeing some good people, and I see white people, Black people, brown people, yellow people."...She went on to mock those who accuse the pro-Trump movement of being racist.... Greene's use of the phrase "yellow people" is itself a racist trope, critics pointed out.

Stay classy, MTG.

Maybe she was just channeling the spirit of Inspector Clouseau, who used a similar term when referring to his Asian-born manservant.

But the big question is, do those yellow people control any space lasers?

Protip. When a Conservative tries to prove they aren't racist, EVEN WHEN THEY BEING HONEST ABOUT IT, it only means they are trying to prove they could hypothetically be more racist if they really tried.

Sarah Palin also refuses to get vaccinated: proof that getting vaccinated is the smart thing to do.

So she claims.

I often find myself wondering which of these right wing losers are actually drinking the conspiratorial flavor-aid, and which are just savvy enough to know you can get the vaccine and lie about it.

Ironically that's also sorta been my secret hope throughout a lot of this as well.

"Ya know can just lie? Got get the vaccine and still brag to all your brainless QAnon buddies about how you didn't?"
