Yep. Hillary was a 'flawed' candidate. Biden's ratings are 'horrible'. Even dumbo kiwis are buying it.

But the worst thing is it feeds on itself. "I heard that Biden's rating are horrible! That's why I answered 'yes' to this poll asking if Biden's been a terrible president!".

A lot of it is that, but they are strangely consistent to parts of their thinking. If you take their arguments as they state them, then they're abjectly moronic and cruel hypocrites. But that's in part from ignoring that their reason is actually that they and their allies are entitled to power, as an inherent personal characteristic. Of course the rules don't apply to them, they're the 'good people'. Of course they don't have to follow their own standards, they're the ones who decide the standards. Of course they should be able to ignore the will of the people, they're the 'real Americans'. Of course they deserve sex, they're 'nice guys'.

Their entire moral system operates on the assumption they are good, moral people not because they do good, moral things, but as an immutable personal characteristic. Thus, anything they do is good and moral.
 
THe GOP seems on the verge of causing a government shutdown over the Covid Vaccine Mandates.
The total irresponsiblity of the GOP is just incredible. If they do get control of the govenrment, i predict a total collapse since they will not be able to control the monster they have created.

His main appeal has been to people who spent decades priding themselves on being plain simple talkers. His fan base is the fan base of Jeff Foxworthy and Bill Engvall. Intelligence & eloquence doesn't impress them; it tells them you're trying to hide something and/or make up for a lack of down-to-Earth common sense. Even worse yet is trying to sound intellectually superior and bungling it.

Democrats would heed this instead of living in their little denial bubble, if they had any interest in ever winning again.

In other words, dumb it down? Throw in a lot of stream of consciousness meanderings that don't make any sense much less an actual, organized thought, add a bunch grade school bullying remarks, and be sure not to show any kind of actual intelligence or basic knowledge of history or how the government works? That's all it takes for the Dems to appeal to the blue collars in rural America?

Comedians whose theme is/was talking about the hilarity that can ensue when simple people living a simple life go too simple. It's sort of like self-deprecation, but on a cultural level about rural American (especially Southeastern) culture, instead of on the individual level. Their audiences recognize in their jokes either themselves or at least others in their communities at large.

The point was not about his mental state. It was about how people responded to his speeches. Speech-making that gets a good reaction is good, effective speech-making. Speech-making that disappoints people and leaves them looking for excuses is not. Theoretical reasons why one or the other shouldn't have the effect it has make no difference. And a big part of how Democrats keep losing so much is by insisting on what they figure people should think & do instead of adjusting to what people actually think & do.

Biden was +14% exactly six months ago. Even the orange retard didn't manage to tank 25 points in six months, and he's universally considered the worst President America has ever had!
