Trolling not being a good thing seems to be where the disagreement lies.

Again the whole pro-troll motto that any reaction is them counts as them winning is just another form of trolling.

Where I actually seem to disagree with you on this, is that I think "Lets go brandon" is essentially harmless and certainly no worse that **** the president I don't like.
 
I’d vastly prefer the straight up vulgar ***** that guy” or the civil “that guy’s policies are terrible” to this ‘ha ha, I’m saying **** you but not really so I can’t get in trouble’ edgy eight year old stuff.

I mean, it’s just more of the same “I’m not touching you!” literal childish teasing that everybody has told me to just put up with since forever. If it’s my fault that I am bone-tired of that, so be it.

I don't think anyone's actually using it that way, though. I think if anything they're lampshading the bowdlerization of the original.

Hm. We’re gonna have to agree to disagree on this kind of thing. IMO it reads very clearly as “we both know I’m expressing the sentiment of cussing your guy out but you can’t say anything about it without looking like an idiot.”

I mean, I agree that they mostly do it cause they think it’s funny, but IMO that is WHY they think it’s funny. Because ******* with people on purpose is hilarious.

To be fair, the absolute pearl clutching of some libs in response to this is making it much funnier than it otherwise would be.

The novelty of the inciting incident has worn off, but the over-the-top freakouts of some libs is probably the only thing keeping it current at the moment. Getting really bent out of shape is exactly what they want, so it's not too smart to do so.
 
Well, no kidding, but the end result is still that I have to look at it and not say anything because that would make me the Fun Police. I’m just.. getting tired. Can’t I ever get out of grade school?
 
With my luck there will be an afterlife and it will be grade school, the part right when the boys start experimenting with saying gross sex stuff that sounds like it came out of an AI text generator, to the girls who are trying to finish their classwork. Forever.

ETA to be fair Warp will be in the part where you’re in study hall but they won’t let you sit by your friends and they keep giving you weekend detention for not studying.

The problem with "LOL just ignore them, lookit how much better I am then you because I'm ignoring them, they just want attention so don't give them what they want" is it leaves your hands tied when they do stuff you can't ignore.

Also I'm just ******* done with intellectual, moral, and argumentative standards that give the trolls all the volition.

Every discussion we have only exists until they decide to ruin it and I'm so tired of it, and I'm even more tired of the idea that me being tired of it means it's my fault because "that's what they want."

It makes no sense in any context except by immediate translation to "**** Joe Biden".

And honestly, you'd look like just as much of an idiot if you called them out for saying "**** Joe Biden". It's not like that encounter plays out any differently for you, regardless of which version you decide to go full Karen on.

The only place it's gaining any momentum is in places where it should be gaining momentum. Look at the game you referenced lol. Missouri and Georgia? No kidding? I'm shocked, shocked I tell you that this chant is gaining momentum in either of those two places.

I haven't watched the UFC in probably 2-3 years, but from what I understand it's pretty much the same crowd as a southern football game. Dana White is one of the bigger Trump nut huggers. Add in Joe "Dude Bro" Rogan, and bashing each other in the head repeatedly and you've got a recipe for a definite Pro-Trump\Anti-Biden rant.

Was Trump there? I can't remember if he attended this one or if he was too busy smacking children in the head with baseballs because he has the arm strength of 5 year old girl.

Anyway isn’t a Karen trying to threaten to get some authority to enforce a Thing? The real question here isn't whether the meme is gaining or losing "momentum"; it's why those who are into it would think that mattered.

People on the Trump right are hard to troll in the same way that it is hard to shoot a submerged fish with a squirt gun. Gullible anger is sort of the unifying characteristic.

Recently they have basically been pro-virus for all sorts of reasons that are stupid.

They support progressive programs (social security, the provisions of the ACA, etc.) while being frothingly mad at anything they are told is socialist to the point some of them advocate nationalizing social media to keep it from being socialist.

How does trolling these people work? They already believe absurdities as a matter of course. Do we trick them into believing things that aren't absurd? Trick them into not being mad for ten minutes?
