And a lot of trolls are suddenly going to, by pure coincidence surely, be super-concerned with "civility" about "not speaking ill of the dead" and insist we have a civil debate with them about it.

I'd proudly and publicly dance on his grave...after giving him his golden shower.

It may have been mentioned before but the term..."The bride at every wedding... the corpse at every funeral." Seems to be that fellers attitude. Oh and really classy regarding General Powell. Yup that's what we need leading this country.

¡Ojalá que sí! Y muy pronto.

Speaking of which...

On last night's The Daily Show, they had a segment where Jordan Klepper went and interviewed some of the MAGAchud at a Trump rally.

One of the complaints the participants had was how Biden was "dividing" the nation... of course, they were both wearing shirts with Trump giving the middle finger to Biden/Harris. So much for civility.

Some of the other nuggets of wisdom...

- They complained when people treated Trump supporters like a cult... and then said they loved anything that came out of his mouth.

- One man claimed Trump was still president and was actually running things. But when asked if Trump could then be blamed for the Afghanistan withdrawal, he seemed a bit... confused.

- One guy claimed that it wasn't the MAGAchud that were behind the Jan6 terrorist activity. For proof, he suggested that the Q-anon shawman wasn't really a Trump supporter, and he was somehow at the airport in Afghanistan (because someone pictured there sort of looked like him)

See: Yahoo

(I would try to link to a video of it, but because of broadcast rights issues, they aren't available up here in Canada.)

Like I've been saying for a loooooong time...they're stupid. Does anyone still want to chide me for saying that?

¡Ojalá que sí! Y muy pronto.

I posted this in another thread, but it fits here also.

I never wanted Trump to die while in office, because I didn't want him to be martyred. Now, I could care less if the big city bus of life ran him down. Just sayin'.

I do like the suggestion above/or in another tread of maybe drafting hypothetical obituaries for him, and leaking them to social media. Anything that still brings him pain, brings me joy. I am probably not a nice person anymore.

I never wanted T**** to die in office because my erstwhile Indianan stepson assured me Pence was at least as bad but smooth enough to get away with it.

Not that I'd wish it on anyone, but I don't not wish it much either.

Yes. ;)

Pence was of course a factor that had to considered, also. In some ways, it is a little amusing to watch Pence try to remain relevant. Not that he really ever was.

Anyboyd else who thinks Trump's will issue with Powell is that he was Black?
Far less than the fact Powell eloquently called Donny out as the ignorant narcissistic thug he actually is, in public. Donny's MO is to always hit back, hard and nasty and underhanded. His whole presidency was primarily to get back at Obama dissing him in a light-hearted dinner speech.

I've seen this being posted in the Fox News comments section occasionally:

"If we don’t solve the Presidential Election Fraud of 2020 (which we have thoroughly and conclusively documented), Republicans will not be voting in ‘22 or ‘24. It is the single most important thing for Republicans to do. - trump 10/13/21"

I think I might just start finding places on twitter and on news comments to keep posting it.

trump and Mcconnell are still at odds about this.

Where are the Russian/Iranian/N. Korean/Chinese bots when we need them?

For once I agree with trump, and I agree 100%. Anyone who believes the 2020 election was fraudulent, anyone who believes trump won that election, anyone who believes the fraud was thoroughly and conclusively documented, then no! I don't think they should vote in 2022 or 2024. Or ever! ;)

The GOP must be tearing what remains of their hair out. Whatever they are trying to wangle their way back into power, Donny is continually throwing rotting logs and dead donkeys across their path. He is a disaster for them. They hitched their wagon to this ****-show zombie, and now they can't unshackle from him.

Trump is worrisome. He does not actually understand his situation. He wants revenge and will work on that in 2022. But he is so desperate to have power to "fix" things that he will in fact go on the ballot on the primary. Who knows what will happen after that. Trump would not last another 4 years. It just would not work. Whoever is the VP would end up in power before the 4 years is done.

Also, the trumpsters will all write in Trump's name on the primary ballot if it is not there.

Oh...I am sure there are the "I am not a T***p supporter..." type cons who will weigh in to say how you are the reason why T***p supporters are so dumb.

:dl:

Seriously though, a recent poll found that about 4% of them actually say they will not vote. Not as much as we'd like, but it could make a huge difference in several states.

Stupid and ill-informed. A number of people have drawn a direct connection between the rise of Trump and the decline of local newspapers, which used to be a primary source of information for people across the political and social spectrums.
President Donald Trump’s attacks on the mainstream media may be rooted in statistical reality: An extensive review of subscription data and election results shows that Trump outperformed the previous Republican nominee, Mitt Romney, in counties with the lowest numbers of news subscribers, but didn't do nearly as well in areas with heavier circulation.
....
The results show a clear correlation between low subscription rates and Trump’s success in the 2016 election, both against Hillary Clinton and when compared to Romney in 2012. Those links were statistically significant even when accounting for other factors that likely influenced voter choices, such as college education and employment, suggesting that the decline of local media sources by itself may have played a role in the election results.

That gives new force to the widely voiced concerns of news-industry professionals and academicians about Trump’s ability to make bold assertions about crime rates, unemployment and other verifiable facts without any independent checks.
