Color me highly skeptical as well. While I think he's just making excuses for his poor spelling and grammar, the implication is that he thinks it's a perfectly acceptable excuse to say that there's something seemingly unsavory about people who write competently. Saying, that he could write properly, but sees that as a sign of untrustworthiness and thus chooses to masks his claimed education, shows just how proudly uneducated those in his circle are.
 
I thought that B Com was a typo. I have never, ever heard of that as a slang for some degree.

If the BCom is what I think it is...it us a very popular Indian degree...the Bachelor of Commerce degree. Primarily because it does not require much reading to get through the exams. It was enough to be good with basic arithmetic and the ability to do percentages and read or generatea balance sheet. Probably qualify a person for bean counting.

I remember one of the old Stundie nominations being someone claiming that using proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar in a post is a giveaway that you're actually a shill working for The Conspiracy.

I see I had a typographical error in said post (actually more likely my autocorrect, since 'A' is so far from 'I' on a QWERTY keyboard - I probably accidentally typed "loke" or something, and the autocorrect changed it to lake, and I missed it because there was no attention-seeking red underline). I'm afraid I'll have to commit seppuku - with my keyboard.

I hadn't noticed the typo TBH. If I was ambiguous I would like to clarify that it wasn't you I thought was missing the point (although I have enough bourbon in my system now that I freely admit I might be), so please, no seppuku on my account.
