People were critical when I mentioned the bad policies of my local CVS, on vaccination.
While sitting around, and doing nothing as best I could tell (based on the observed chat, inaction, and giggling), I was denied a walk-in. I was told that they no longer did them.
Today, after a painful appointment process that took about 40 minutes, I got my second shot. The guy who administered it told me that they were still doing walk-ins, but that they might change their minds, based on how busy the pharmacy was.
How busy, or how lazy, I wondered? Well, at least I got it. This is no way to encourage vaccination.

"How busy, or how lazy, I wondered?" Has it occurred to you that those 'lazy, chatting, giggling' women weren't qualified to give shots? They weren't pharmacists.
Whoa!
An 85% in the poll.
What country is this forum in?
I went to get my second shot last Wednesday, at CVS. They told me they were not taking walk-ins, since when the FDA authorized booster shots. I thought how crazy this was...there was nobody else there to get a shot, but they turned me away. So, now I have to schedule an appointment, which is about 5 days out.

I got vaccinated as soon as I was eligible, which was in March. It was the Moderna Vaccine
If and when I am eligible, I will get a booster shot. But with what happened with the FDA today, that is probably a long way off.
I was vaccinated in early April, as soon as I could get an appointment. The FDA approved booster shots today for ages 65+ which just barely includes me and my husband. Whoo hoo!
I'm over 65 and have to go to the pharmacy today anyhow so I'll ask about a third shot. Been six months since the second.
The last thing I want to see is dead Democrats, or even Republicans, for that matter. Please people, get those shots. Even if you live in rural areas and/or the registration process is a ridiculous hassle.![]()
But there is no "ridiculous hassle registration process".

LOL! Is this one of Kellyanne's 'alternative facts'? Would you care to cite what this "ridiculous hassle registration process" is exactly? You go down to the pharmacy, say you want a Covid vaccination and you get it. At the worst, you might have to come back in a couple days after they give you a date and time.
Online process required to get an appointment.
Must input pictures of insurance cards. Like this must be so intuitive for most people?
At best appointments are 3 days out, at random times.
If you register, and someone else grabs your chosen time slot during the process, you get error messages and lose all data. Must start again, without any idea of why.
Walk-in, rejected, and told not possible.
And, best part...pharmacy person acknowledges that I was mislead about no walk-ins. Then told, even if I did, 1 hour wait.
Pharmacy acknowledges that the online appointment system is bad, and suggests that if people want to book an appointment, that they try after 11 pm at night, to start.
Those are the basics. Geeze.
I made an appointment for 6 hours later. No insurance required whatsoever.Online process required to get an appointment.

Maybe the pharmacy you chose sucks and there's easier options available if you bothered to look around?
