Steven Avery: Making of a Murderer Part 2

Essexman:

I understood there was a video of a flyover showing the rav4 was not in its found position several days after the disappearance. Is this so and how does it fit in with Avery's alleged actions?

There is no such video showing the RAV4 not where it was found.

Zellner's record

The last time I looked, Ms. Zellner had represented twenty individuals who were exonerated. That does not guarantee any particular result in the Avery case, but tells us something about her work.

Eugene Volokh's opinion

Mr. Colborn's lawsuit is not even at the discovery stage. Professor Eugene Volokh wrote, "The resolution of these issues must, at a minimum, await discovery and summary judgment…."

clarification

Mr. Colborn's lawsuit is not even at the discovery stage. Professor Eugene Volokh wrote, "The resolution of these issues must, at a minimum, await discovery and summary judgment…."
Professor Volokh was quoting a portion of the judgment allowing the suit to go forward, not necessarily giving his own opinion.

Some information on Earl Avery

"Earl pleaded no contest to battery after beating and choking his wife during an argument. He served 10 days in jail and 18 months probation. In 1995, he was charged with and pleaded no contest to fourth degree sexual assault and battery of his two daughters, serving 45 days in jail and three years probation. Earl Avery was also charged in 2011 of videotaping children and adults as they changed in the bathroom during a pool party. Earl admitted to the charges and was sentenced to six months in jail and probation. In 2013 he was found guilty of driving while intoxicated and fined." link

Taking the above as presumptively true, I am not that interested in what Earl Avery says. Earl is Kayla's father.

John Ferak wrote, "One of the most difficult aspects of the wrongful conviction movement is that most states do not allow inmates convicted of murder to get a temporary release from prison to attend a loved one's visitation and funeral service."

How did the cell phone come to a remote position?
How could the body be reduced so quickly in the burn pit?
Two questions.

Eta
The pit is shallow.
To generate heat a deep narrow pit is indicated.
I have seen this eliminating unneeded shelter belts of trees.

Netflix response to Colborn's lawsuit

Netflix contends the claims are barred under the First and Fourteenth Amendments; says “Some or all of the challenged statements are not “of and concerning” the Plaintiff”; “Any allegedly defamatory statement of and concerning Plaintiff is true or substantially true, and Plaintiff cannot carry his burden of proving that they are materially false”; “Some or all of the challenged statements are not defamatory or defamatory per se.”

Additionally, “Netflix did not intend to convey the implications alleged” and “Netflix did not endorse the implications alleged,” the reply states. “Plaintiff impermissibly attempts to end-run the requirements of libel law by labeling his claims as “intentional infliction of emotional distress.”” link to story link to response

Not trying to be a dick, but everyone in that family writes in a stream-of-consciousness that's really difficult to read.
