I agree that’s it’s normal pants.

I disagree with your last sentence; as POSOTUS he regularly appeared disheveled at best.

He wears a $3 Chinese-made trucker-hat everywhere. He’s painted orange.
Vain? Sure. Even remotely aware of how he appears to others? Not even on the radar

MAGA hats are made in the US.

His fake tan is due to his vanity even if we all see it for what it is, he thinks it makes him look healthy and younger.

He is vain which is why he does a triple combover to hide his scalp reduction scars and bald spot.

I agree, he also has a weird haircut and giant red ties and suits that don’t fit right. He has an accent no one else on earth has and uses strange terminology and phrasing. His spray tan is often uneven and just plain missing in some spots. He chooses to eat fast food for most of his meals. Cheap, tacky, or strange with little attention to detail would be entirely fitting with his character, so I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he wore sweat pants fashioned to look like suit pants because they’re comfortable or easy to put on. He looks like **** all the time.

The haircut isn't like Boris Johnson's, just disheveled. It's a complex, multi-stage process intended to cover his scalp scars and bald spot. That's vanity.

The oversized suits and tie are intended to hide the fact he's FAT. That's vanity.

He does his own spray tan which explains the amateur application because he doesn't want anyone else to be able to verify he uses it. That's vanity.

What he eats, his accent and word choice are irrelevant to the topic.

But what you are still ignoring is the fact that there is no evidence that he is wearing anything but the usual suit pants. When you can provide something other than tweets from anti-Trumpers and blurry pictures (that are debunked by high resolution pictures), you might have a leg to stand on. Until then, you don't.

I changed my mind.
I think a reporter should ask “This is not an academic or hypothetical question: many people from both sides of the aisle are saying that the China Virus damaged you more than any other American, would you agree, sir? And if so should part of that $10 trillion be paid directly to you?”

The only thing that surprises me about those pictures is that despite all his wealth, Trump's suits still look like some cheap off the shelf suit from Target.

Have you seen the Photoshopped images of him without the tan and the combover? I think it ages him by at least 10 years, so to that extent all the artifice is effective in spite of being apparent. It reminds me of someone like Jane Fonda where the plastic surgery is painfully obvious, but we can barely imagine what her wrinkled, sagging visage would be like without it.

Even remotely aware of how he appears to others? Not even on the radar

I disagree. I think when he’s aware of being mocked for his appearance it wounds him.

I'm not sure that contradicts what I said. He certainly doesn't view what constitutes a good image the way you and I do, but he does try to look healthy and sharp. He wouldn't be caught dead with pants like that.

I didn't say he was wearing something other than suit pants. I wouldn't be surprised if he did because he's a ******* weirdo and listed all the weirdo things he does. You guys are acting like it's inconceivable he would.

Not to digress too far, but these videos of Trump rallies have always shown large numbers of women, particularly younger women. We all understand why Trump appeals to aging white guys, but what is it about Trump that could possibly appeal to young women?

//Dear God I better word this reeeaaaallllllly carefully //

SPEAKING OF THEM ONLY AS A DEMOGRAPHIC women are weird. You can get women on your side with a blatant anti-woman message quicker than you can get blacks, gays, immigrants, etc on your side with a blatant anti-them message.

I've spoken at length about the Right's weird ability to put a "But not you... you're one of the good ones" hidden track in their "Group X is ruining America!" vitriol, but for some reason it's especially effective with women.

There's a ton of super religious women in the US

*Shrugs* Blacks are on average more religious than white people in the US, but they ain't in bed with the GOP.

There's some X factor with women and the Left/Right divide.

But that's a whole separate discussion to unpack that.

There are a lot of things that are inconceivable for him even taking into account the weird things he does. Going around with nothing but a giant diaper is one, for instance. So why is it surprising that some other things are considered hard to believe, even for him?

the X factor is growing up in white evangelical communities
