In Arizona, the judge said that state Senate was within its authority, not that the court found that there was reason for a recount.

The job they were hired for was to conduct a fake audit then declare Trump to be the rightful president. I have no doubt they are competent to achieve that and to cash the check they will receive for doing so.

The "auditors" were caught early on with black and blue pens (if you're working with ballots, you're only supposed to have red pens) so I expect that's what they had in mind.

Ah, but this presumes part of the goal is not to "bolloxing them up". Think about it, if the voting machines are screwed in counties that didn't vote their way, who gets to decide how available voting equipment is distributed in that county in future elections?

Now we've already seen the splash damage from republican attempts at voter suppression enveloping their own voters. So one can't even make the presumption that they're even trying to protect their own base for their scorched earth tactics.

From there, it should have been easy. Get the ballots and machines shipped in, lock them in a room untouched, wait while drinking coffee, then give the client the report they wanted in the first place. Then get paid handsomely. Money for old rope, really.

But nope. These Ninja bozos have to go and play junior chemists and computer nerds and detectives with adult stuff, thereby ruining what should really have been a sure-fire money-spinner. And they made their client out as public dopes as well. Plus they have drawn attention to how stupid they are as "auditors". Nobody is ever going to believe their final report...if it ever even appears. It really is the most cack-handed group of bumblers that could have been assembled.

You forget the OANN livestreaming of the audit. As the auditors spin their color coordinated 'cones of silencing the steal' round and round to each other. Performance art is what they were paid for and pulls the teat of the cash cow.

That is quite so. But their petty gains will by nothing compared to a billion-plus dollar law suit from Dominion which will almost certainly follow. Who have proven they WILL go that hard.

This is stupidity up there with the likes of juggling running chainsaws while blindfolded and dead drunk. We all know who is going to get really seriously hurt out of this, and it isn't Husqvarna.
