Cont: Qanon Conspiracy Theories Part Two

Status
Not open for further replies.
The latest Q-nuttery is that the ship stranded in the Suez is carrying babies on which HRC and her evil cabal will feast. Or something.
Followers of the QAnon conspiracy theory trying to find meaning behind the blocking of the Suez Canal by a cargo ship claim that the vessel is being used by Hillary Clinton for child sex trafficking.

Some supporters of the radical movement are suggesting the 400-meter-long Ever Given currently stuck in Egypt is being used to abuse children on behalf of the cabal of pedophiles that they believe runs the U.S.

Others claim the children held captive on the ship will be revealed to the world live on camera, justifying their beliefs.
I don't think this is true.

People untethered to reality probably can't grasp how big this ship is. 20,000 sea containers fit on that ship, and they could each hold ... this much stuff:

So, a full apartment worth of babies, times 20,000, how much adrenachrome is that?

The whole Q-nuttery thing just gives rise to so many further questions it boggles the mind that anyone can fall for such lunacy.

Any such a human trafficing scheme would require some form of life support, else one would merely be shipping a load of slowly decaying meat. Somebody would have to thus fit out each container to suit the purpose either way. Reefers might fit the bill since they are climate controlled, but they are designed to keep stuff cold. Not a good thing for live cargo, is it?

Somebody, or more than one, will have to take care of food and water, waste disposal and such like practicalities. We are not talking some 30 minute commuter hop on a plane here. It could be weeks aboard ship before they end up in the clutches of Hillary's imaginary satanic cabal. The entire merchant marine must therefore be party to it.

Customs worldwide must also be co-conspirators.

And we could go on and on and on...well, the bottom line is that one ends up at that weird place that CTs always end up. Everyone is in on it. Except themselves, of course.

I regard the entire Q-crazy as an exemplar of the "sunken cost" fallacy. The Q-nuts are so invested in the bizarre notion that anything is better than admitting they have wasted a not insignificant amount of their lives chasing an imaginary concept which, at the end, is something invented out of whole cloth as a prank, and grew legs because there are too many gullible idiots in the wild.

Maybe Amazing Polly could tell us how it works? Bubba might know.

Noah and his kids managed it!

Is this the eighth or tenth time you've posted this crap? It's not good science, just as it wasn't all those other times. Trump was and is an idiot with his hydroxychloroquire claims. Get over it.

Stupidity like this just stands in the way of helping people.

Reality is a thing. You should try it.

As it turns out, HCQ is being used now to treat covid.

Fauci's NIH found it to be effective against Corona family back in the day around 2015 or so, unless it was was 2005...I'd have to look it up, but 2015 for sure if not earlier. I guess Fauci forgot that, in 2020.

At last check, there were places around the world that never stopped. And?

To poke at what seems to be the currently available evidence, to poke at a link from 5 days ago, apparently -

Drugs used for other diseases were tried out in COVID-19, and this included chloroquine, used for malaria; and hydroxychloroquine used for rheumatic diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis or systemic lupus erythematosus. The authors sought evidence of the effects of these drugs in treating people ill with the disease; in preventing the disease in people at risk of getting the disease, such as health workers; and people exposed to the virus developing the disease.

Key messages

Hydroxychloroquine does not reduce deaths from COVID-19, and probably does not reduce the number of people needing mechanical ventilation.
Hydroxychloroquine caused more unwanted effects than a placebo treatment, though it did not appear to increase the number of serious unwanted effects.
The authors do not think new studies of hydroxychloroquine should be started for treatment of COVID-19.

The science still seems to pretty clearly show that HCQ is not effective and is likely a bit harmful, overall.

Another great example of your world-class research skills here, Bubba- "I'm right because, well, this guy...and I don't like him....and some dates, not sure, but definitely dates, so you guys are STOOPID- and Fauci. Yeah!" :eye-poppi

You need to provide a link to this claim about the NIH and Coronaviruses, of course. I guess you forgot that.
Bubba, do you know why it's called 'Covid-19'? What does the '19' mean?
Also: given your pathological hatred of Dr. Fauci, if he recommended HCQ, would you endorse this? I mean, if the bad man says it's good, is it good or bad in your eyes?

ETA: Bubba, you're in the wrong thread. Another example of your legendary eye for detail .....Mods, can we move this to the right thread?

This is not correct. There may still be a few stupid quacks out there using it but that does not mean it's effective.

Maybe I missed it, but are we still in radio silence from Q? The last post I remember was from way before the election.

This doesn't contradict anything I said.

That crap you spammed is still not good science, Trump is still an idiot, and reality is still a thing.

Sometimes I think some people are deliberately being wrong about everything.

Bubba, on the subject of QAnon, what a colossal failure that turned out to be, eh? Most of us knew it was ridiculous BS the whole time.

Depends on the success criteria. If the goal was any accuracy or relation to reality, Qanon is an abject failure.

If the goal was whipping up a bunch of gullible people and turning them into frothy-mouthed cannon fodder for a larger reactionary political project, it's a smashing success.

More like whipped them up and marched them off a cliff, though.
