But I'd lay a wager that you could add up Biden's lies over his almost 5 decades in politics and they wouldn't come close to the amount of documented lies told by Trump during his single administration, which, according to the Washington Post, amounted to 30,573.

I think this is my favorite example of your post's point. To compare Biden to Trump as a "braggart and a liar" is like comparing the seasonal flu to the bubonic plague that wiped out a third of Europe's population in the 14th century. Sure, people die from both but they're hardly comparable. And I don't believe for a minute that he didn't "have to".

Calling Biden a braggart is ridiculous. And Trump is the biggest braggart I've ever seen and that isn't hyperbole, Seriously, I have never seen a single person who brags more than Trump does. My older brother use to be the biggest braggart I've ever been aware of but he doesn't hold a candle to Trump.

I agree. If I were to face people I didn't regularly interact with, I would sure as well want a list of people with names and pictures and who I should call on.

I have yet to see any solid evidence that Biden was presented with a list of questions he was going to be asked however.

On the other hand, Biden could have just called on people by saying, "You in the blue dress", or "You with the red hair", or "You short guy with the purple tie", instead of addressing them by their names. Then the right wingers could have criticized him for not bothering to have a list with the reporters' names/pictures ready and said how unprepared he was because he's so senile. But this way they can call it 'cheating'. I don't know which one would make them happier. "Cheating", "senile". It's a toss up.

TBF, Biden does lie quite a bit. So have all the POTUSes in my lifetime. The worst lies, IMO, were the ones that got us into the Vietnam war and kept us there. And Trump's are up right up there given all the damage he's done in 4 years.

One simply cannot compare this less than desirable trait with the compulsive pathological lying by Trump. They are not comparable in the least. This was the same crap people claimed throughout Trump's term and they carry it on now. For example, people often tried to normalize Trump's pathological narcissism claiming all POTUSes were narcissists. Maybe but Trump's problem crossed well over the line to being pathologically extreme.

You think Biden has fundamentally changed? Is that your argument? That he's a much better man now than he was then? I'm really curious about this theory of transformation.
