The behaviour of US police officers

The most recent episode of NCIS had one of the agents beta testing a new body camera when his boss flipped out and started punching a suspect who had been running dog fights and killing the dogs. He had turned off the camera earlier, but it had "somehow" turned itself back on, and he was going to report it to the manufacturer as a bug.

Not a bug, an important feature.

Cops caught red handed trying to frame a man.

https://www.abcactionnews.com/news/...ext=LAKE WALES, Fla.,as claimed in the report.

Home surveillance camera shows officer lied on report when charging man with major crimes

Pigs lied and said the man attacked them unprovoked. The stop happened to captured by a nearby home surveillance system and shows that the cops viciously beat the victim without reason.

Charges were immediately dropped when the video was sent to the DA. Had this video not existed, the victim likely would have been convicted of multiple serious crimes and done prison time.

Lol of course, this thug was president of the cop association and has previous complaints of racism.

Worley, named “Officer of the Year” in 2019 and past president of the Lake Wales Police Officers Association, has been the subject of four citizen complaints and two internal investigations, including two allegations saying he used racial slurs.

Body camera footage shows a Duluth police officer reacting to someone slamming an apartment door by shooting a man inside the apartment through the closed front door. The police did not announce their presence in the building before shooting. Once they've done that, the two policemen run away.

They have no business being employed as police officers.

The one who shot, certainly doesn't. I think the other one is absolved in this instance - indeed, I believe that the fact he did not shoot, and was able to give a concise and confident answer about why he did not (namely: he also believed the banging sounds were gunshots, but could not tell whether they came from that apartment, and wasn't going to shoot through the door on a guess) was used as evidence justifying the felony charges against the cop who fired his gun.

....The idea that it is OK to attack police without repercussions has led to most of the main high profile lethal police encounters, and the view that people may attacks them has led to a much higher level of police force, and the increased use of police force has increased the idea from some people that they are justified in attacking the police.....
No, just no.

This Tacoma sheriff followed a newspaper delivery man then called it in and said the man threatened him, then took that back.

Tacoma Sheriff Claims Black Newspaper Carrier 'Threatened to Kill' Him, Recants Claim After More Than 40 Cops Rush to the Scene
White people in America can never truly appreciate the sheer frustration of constant racial profiling. They could never understand the degree of resentment and rage that accumulates inside Black people who can’t even go about the most regular-degular-ass business without looking suspicious to someone or being perceived as more aggressive and threatening than they actually are just because they dare express their aggravation out loud.

A Black man in Tacoma, Wa., said he was simply doing his job as a newspaper delivery driver when a man he later learned was a Pierce County sheriff started following him while he was on his route. He said he eventually stopped and confronted the man who was in an unmarked vehicle to ask why he was being followed and before he knew it, he was surrounded by police officers after the sheriff claimed and then later recanted his claim that the Black man had “threatened to kill” him....

Altheimer placed a newspaper in a plastic cylinder at a home, he said, then he walked over to the SUV to ask why he was being followed. He said he thought Troyer looked familiar but didn’t recognize him as the county’s top law-enforcement officer.

“So I asked him, ‘Who are you?’” Altheimer said. He said Troyer didn’t identify himself, but asked what he was doing in the neighborhood and “called me all types of names,” accusing him of being “a porch pirate,” slang for someone who steals packages from porches.

It's reminiscent of the Ahmaud Arbery case. And 40 cops? Oh my word!

Elijah McClain a 23-year-old black man was killed by Boulder police.

He wore mask due to health worries.
Someone called 911 on him and the police held him down, beat him, and injected him with ketamine.
He went into cardiac arrest and died.

His last word to the police were
“I’m an introvert. I’m just different that’s all. I’m so sorry. I don’t have a gun. I don’t do that stuff. All I was trying to do was become better. I’ll do it.
You all are phenomenal. You are beautiful. And I love you. Try to forgive me. I’m sorry.”

Ah, but there was a key difference

Good catch - McClain was in Aurora, Denver's eastern (and biggest) suburb. Boulder is Northwest of Denver, not very close to Aurora.

My older brother works at a King Soopers in Commerce City (suburb of Denver to the NE). A bit too close for comfort.

What's that you say? Cops lying about interactions with members of the public?

Something is broken over in the US.

A Lake Wales man, who could have been sent to prison for years based on the claims in a police report, was saved by a home surveillance camera. It showed he didn’t attack an officer, as claimed in the report.

Seems to be an odd coincidence, the more cameras that are out there, the more times people are catching these "bad apples".

If they were "bad apples" they would be fired, but merely getting caught framing someone is not enough to get a cop fired after all. This is just normal police behavior.
