They chose NOT to live in fear and so did the packed plane going down and returning back refuse to live in "fear and paranoia" which this has all been. Mass hysteria, just turn on your tv's.

This forum has members all over the world. Hence the "international" part of its name.

There's a 'location' field in the poster information on the left, under the avatar, so you can see where most posters live. Not all, because unfortunately some think it's funny to put something silly in it.

I took it that she was asking whether her interlocutors on the thread were mostly outside the US, rather than whether Brits were US citizens living abroad. Arguably it could have been the other way round, but George III makes fools of us all.

It could be that. Hard to give a direct answer to that question, of course. The US is very likely the most represented nation in these forums, and thus most of the threads, but there's lots of posters from around the world.

To poke back at Fauci, though, even in the US, Fauci is just an expert in a position to present the actual relevant experts' consensus to the public and Administration (and isn't even remotely close to the only one). He's given disproportionate importance by those who don't like the expert consensus as part of thoroughly dishonest opposition tactics and pretty much no special importance by those who aren't the dishonest opposition. Not much more really needs explained beyond that, generally.

This poster's preference for her own assumptions over easily available information, including that which is quite literally on screen in front of her or easily available just keeps getting demonstrated in new & exciting ways!
 
Getting back on track...

I would suggest that one of the main reasons why Dr. Fauci has the public attention he does in the U.S. is that, as the expert spokesman for a Federal agency concerned with infectious diseases, he was constantly undermined by a moronic, psychologically damaged, attention-whore president who suggested that people drink bleach, and promoted a lunatic who thinks that demon sperm is a health issue. And the more people focussed on what the expert representative was saying, the more Trump responded with petulant jealousy and further turned media attention toward the scientific position he was opposing.
 
If you want to talk about travelling by road or rail in other countries, please do so in an appropriate thread. Likewise regarding IQs and Mensa membership.
