Split Thread A second impeachment

Well, here it comes. The Republicans betray the US for their own partisan and personal ends once again and Donald Trump gets away with inciting insurrection and violating his oath as POTUS......

Saying the Dems should have done this or should have done that is just distracting from the fact the Republicans ssimply did not care about the facts. They all saw what happened on live TV, hell some of them lived through it, If they choose to ignore Trump's actions and words well then the fault needs to be laid at their door, not obscured by nit-picking over Democratic tactics.

Exactly.

I think that's true and the scary thing now is, these coconspirators are still in office. We shouldn't forget that their own guilt promoting the big lie surely played a part. Especially with the outspoken GOP Senators, Cruz and Hawley, they wouldn't convict because they wanted Trump to succeed to overthrow the government. And yes I meant that.

The 7 GOP senators will now face the consequences of voting guilty because you know they will by punished. Kudos to them for having the courage to stand up and vote their conscience.

We knew two-thirds would be a near-impossible call but the prosecution had the moral high ground. The Republicans who voted guilty are to be commended for their honesty in this matter.

We the people can stand up for them. The public in those red states may turn out to surprise us if they can stand up to their white supremacists among them.
