"Spare me the" faux outrage. Reminds me of Kavanaugh's trying to sound outraged. Except Kavanaugh was really bad at it.
 
They had to recycle the videos so many times in order to make their presentation longer because they had nothing.

One of the most pathetic parts was the claim the Dems manufactured/ misrepresented evidence with the "calvary" vs "cavalry" tweet. That was just mind boggling stupid.

Since we're reliving his comments both before and after that famous quote and keeping in mind the context it doesn't really make him look any better.

For example, he brings up Robert E Lee, and then tries to equate Washington and Jefferson to Lee because they were slave owners. Only one of those three men was a confederate general and traitor to the country. They were all slave owners...but of course the protests were not about the fact that Lee was a slave owner. I would like to say Trump knew that but that's giving him too much credit. I honestly don't think he had any idea and didn't really care one way or the other.

Trump's complete lack of tact and ability to make any kind of meaningful point whenever he speaks is nothing to really defend. His comments were misinterpreted because he's completely incompetent as a public speaker and a morally bankrupt human being. He's had years to clarify what he said and correct people's understanding of what he meant and of course he hasn't, and he won't.
 
Ver Veen's whining whinge delivered in a horrible syprupy voice like a winding down battery had 'Written by Trump' all over it. It was sexist, racist, stupefyingly childish and you could almost picture his pucker-shaped lips dictating the script to him. Veen went off script to put in a heartfelt moan about being called 'frivolous'. 'ARE THEY TRYING TO TAKE AWAY MY LIVELIHOOD?'

I am not, and was not, defending Trump.

Eh, it was always overhyped, particularly by the same bigoted white folks that Toupee Fiasco draws cheers from. Truth is, it's only been a real democracy for about 56 years now, it's riddled with flaws even after that, and one of the only two significant political parties finds even this level of democracy deeply offensive.
