Would you be OK with a social media that censored all liberal democratic voices while professing to be neutral platforms rather than publishers?

Show me how "social media" has censored all conservative Republican voices.
Now.

Not where they are supposed to comply with section 230.

(you knew)

Of course not. They are publishers, not platforms. They are not subject to section 230.

The social media are today's de facto town square. They are abusing their 'privilege'.

This is currently quite common. I have no real issue with it. Liars gonna lie. I just avoid those sites.

A seriously Trump-enthusiastic outfit called American Thinker just put out this:

“We received a lengthy letter from Dominion's defamation lawyers explaining why they believe that their client has been the victim of defamatory statements. Having considered the full import of the letter, we have agreed to their request that we publish the following statement:

”American Thinker and contributors Andrea Widburg, R.D. Wedge, Brian Tomlinson, and Peggy Ryan have published pieces on www.AmericanThinker.com that falsely accuse US Dominion Inc., Dominion Voting Systems, Inc., and Dominion Voting Systems Corporation (collectively “Dominion”) of conspiring to steal the November 2020 election from Donald Trump. These pieces rely on discredited sources who have peddled debunked theories about Dominion’s supposed ties to Venezuela, fraud on Dominion’s machines that resulted in massive vote switching or weighted votes, and other claims falsely stating that there is credible evidence that Dominion acted fraudulently.

“These statements are completely false and have no basis in fact. Industry experts and public officials alike have confirmed that Dominion conducted itself appropriately and that there is simply no evidence to support these claims.

“It was wrong for us to publish these false statements. We apologize to Dominion for all of the harm this caused them and their employees. We also apologize to our readers for abandoning 9 journalistic principles and misrepresenting Dominion’s track record and its limited role in tabulating votes for the November 2020 election. We regret this grave error.“

“Having considered the full import of the letter” is a nice way of saying, “Because we don’t want to be sued into bankruptcy for libeling them with insane lies”, but, hey, they published a few paragraphs of truth.

Sue them anyway, straight into chapter 7.

No and no....Anderson Cooper putting Sullivan on CNN trumps those ideas.

Bigly.

Sullivan is obviously a COINTELPRO type, a paid pretender working for someone behind the curtain.

This is what they do.

Nope. No way to weasel out of this one, I'm afraid.

Get used to it.

I’m just struck by the fact that an American President (for 4-1/2 more days anyway) is such a whining crybaby nursing his hurt fee-fees that he will stomp off in a tantrum rather than attend the inauguration of his successor, like grown-ups do in a democracy.

What a loser.

Sure. That's what Stormfront White Action Power Forum does. That's what CODOH (Committee for Open Discussion on the Holocaust) does.

Are you posting your same incorrect crap on their platforms as you are here?

I thought about going to those sites, but I don't want that crap on my hard drive. Is our interlocutor a holocaust denier? Ick.

Regulate Social Media Like Public Utilities

So you think the Biden government should regulate Holocaust denial social media platforms?

What if the Qanon cult establishes its own social platform? Should the Biden government regulate that? Wouldn't that stop you from posting your lies on that platform

:wink8:

I do not think Bubba knows anything about the actual holocaust at all. Bubba's posting profile suggests he has a fuzzy concept of a (((secret world order)))) which is sort of the same position, also without any facts to back it up.

As for holocaust denial social media platforms, they sort of came to an end. Firstly, the owners, who made money from followers donations and sales, died of old age. Secondly, actual forensic archaeology found the mass graves last decade. Thirdly, members of those platforms moved to extreme right wing media platforms to obtain traffic.:)

Diaper Don, President ***** -His-Pants, Commander Cowardly Bone Spurs wants a military going away party . . .

Bwahahahahahahahahahaha!!

What a ******* loser.

Dead-ender playground pretend version to follow . . .

For the fun of it...

Online far-right movements fracture in wake of Capitol riot
According to researchers who study the real-life effects of the QAnon movement, the false belief in a secret plan for Jan. 20 is irking militant pro-Trump and anti-government groups.

Users on forums that openly helped coordinate the Jan. 6 riot and called for insurrection, including 4chan and TheDonald, have become increasingly agitated with QAnon supporters, who are largely still in denial that President Donald Trump will no longer be in the Oval Office after Jan. 20.
