Certifying the Vote.

I wish they had a system where they stopped voting after there isn't enough to pass. "senate voted no? Okay, on to the next one."

Ironically, staffers and reps serving functions (that lower bench) are writing totals, affixing their signatures, entering data at screens, and other steps in...

Certifying the roll call vote for the public record.

But then who decides if those votes are correct? And who deiced if the people who decided those votes are correct? And who decides...

It's vote objections all the way down.

I just heard a voicemail message that Giuliani thought he was leaving for Tommy Tuberville although he left it on someone else's VM asking him to object to every state to slow it down.

No, I think with most votes in the Congress it is important to know the record of the members. That way, as a voter, you can make an informed choice on whether or not you want them to remain there.

Is there a federal politician you voted for then voted against because of their voting record? There might be, I'm just curious. I have never had that happen.

I'm not American, but while I would agree that few people today would choose between a Dem and a Rep on the basis of voting record, I think it makes a big difference for some voters when choosing in primaries for presidents, senators and representatives.

**** their "legacy" I want them to face some justice.

According to the blurb:

Hold Them Accountable
Republican members of Congress who incited this domestic terror attack through their attempts to overturn the election must face consequences. They have broken their sacred Oath of Office.

Add your name as a co-signer of Rep. Cori Bush’s bill to investigate and expel these members from Congress.

ETA: For those from Missouri ashamed of Hawley, you can join good Missouri person, Cori Bush.

No one objecting to Trump's vote for Arkansas?

ETA: How about Biden's votes for California?

Nope? Oh well... at least they aren't going to be total ******* and object to every state.

So we'll wait for Georgia then, I guess...

The counting of electoral votes is supposed to be tedious and boring.

But now someone has just objected to Georgia's vote, but it appears that there is no Senator supporting the objection, so it is rejected. Looked like it might get interesting.
