In Presidential transitions, the president-elect does not receive the actual nuclear code card until after the nuclear briefing, when "he meets with the outgoing president at the White House just before the actual inauguration ceremony.

Sadly that seems more reasonable than any of Trump’s current CTs!

According to the stories, it's a 757 (VC-32) he's taking instead of a 747 (VC-25). The AF has two of the 747's and four 757's so there's plenty of transport left for Biden.

I'm just wondering how he plans to get back, assuming they let him land!

Assuming they gave trump valid codes and a working "nuclear football".

Maybe they were smart 4 years ago and realized how unstable and a security risk trump was and gave him fakes
