That's tragically accurate. If there's any upside to Trump's handling of this election cycle, it's that some of his followers have backed away in horror at what he's been doing. The other day I drank my "Trump beer" with a friend with whom I bet one Guinness that Trump would lose this election, and he was very subdued about Trump. He'd thought Trump was "the guy," but now he thinks he was wrong. People can learn.
Trump's recent behavior has done a lot of harm to America, though, so that's a pretty thin upside.
