From your quote it seems that Trump has yet to assimilate his exit from the property development business long ago, and skates over his subsequent existence as a reality-TV celebrity and pimper of himself as a brand. There's no chance he'll ever assimilate being out of the Presidency. And there will be motorcades and rallies, all paid for by Trumptrash subscriptions.
It could kill him. Right there, at the podium. Or even better, humping the Flag.

If he makes it to early '24 he'll start claiming that if he doesn't win the primaries they were rigged, and the same for the election if he does.

It appears he's been reminded that he's damaging the GOP chances in the Georgia runoff.

Maybe Mitch sent Graham down to FL to keep Trump's damaging the Georgia election in check.

The last time he was in Georgia supposedly for Perdue and Loeffler, he spent most of the rally talking about how he had really won the election and how it had been stolen from him to the cheers of the audience. It was mostly about him. I rest my case.

He's inserting himself as the saviour if they win. If they don't, it'll be the GOP's fault, not Trump's.


No word on the finance bill he's not yet signed, nor the covid relief bill, both of which are urgent, but plenty about plans for January. How very Trumpian.

Perdue and Loeffler are probably sitting crying in their coffee now, and Mitch is asking Pence about the 25th. They maybe had a chance...Trump is going to right royally **** it up for them now.

Not only does he face the humiliation of being a sitting president rejected by American voters, once out of office he faces severe financial problems, he faces criminal prosecutions. He knows he's made many enemies, he knows a huge swath of the American public despise him. Trouble ahead and few allies, other than the ones he can pay to be allies.

All the business failures he's suffered, the way he always seems to convince himself, "This time it will be different." But it never really is. I think what has aged him is knowing, this time he screwed up on a world stage. This time it might really be over.

No argument here, especially about his (lack of) work but I'd another important factor. I suspect this is the first job he's ever had where 1) other people were telling him what he could and couldn't do, and 2) other people had to be in the decision-making loop and some of those people (*cough* Moscow Mitch *cough*) had even more power than he did. That's gotta wear on anyone but especially so for a guy whose ego makes Mount Everest look like an ant hill.
