So Trump is considering asking the military to support him by enforcing martial law and re-running the election, but he's just vetoed their annual pay rise? Good luck with that.

Congress can override his veto(s) but not if he pulls the "Pocket Veto" trick.

Of course the news media can't help themselves telling everyone about it so there's no chance Trump doesn't know about it.

I thought he already signed the defense veto. I thought the pocket veto was in play for funding bill (COVID relief plus keeping Govt open).

ETA: Pelosi says the House will vote to override on Monday.

Nope, he threatened to veto the COVID (and omnibus spending) bill, which contains a bunch of stuff he clearly does not understand. He vetoed the NDAA today, which is the separate defense spending bill.

(the only people under pressure on either now are the GOP, which they deserve as willing accomplices to the ignorant, narcissistic, petty white supremacist con man. Sleep with leopards, get your face eaten.)

Trump is burning bridges fast. He filed an appeal in the Supreme Court a few days ago when I'm sure they thought they were done with this junk and now have it hanging over them during the holidays.

Barr is done with him. McConnell is trying to hold off an embarrassing challenge of the vote counting that may splinter the party.

Now members of Congress have to be back in Washington Monday and Tuesday and maybe all of next week to deal with vetoes.

Trump may find he has few allies left in Washington by the time this is done.

And he cited the provision in the defense bill that orders the renaming of US Military bases named after COnfederates as the main reason.\
He seems to think he is presiddent of the CSA rather then the USA. Huge shoiur out to white supremists.
We have a madman in the oval office.

I think that we said the same thing. Maybe my internal parser isn't working well.
 
Bastard just pardoned Manafort and Stone.
And I am predicitng he will veto the Covid/Budget Bill, I think he is in "Make the American People suffer because they have not shown enough loyalty to me mode" sort of like Hitler's schorced earth policy in Germany as the end drew nigh.

And lots of supporters will still scream "FOUR MORE YEARS!" at rallies even after he leaves the WH. Nah, they're not stupid. Not at all.

  2. Scott was the governor when the crimes were committed,
