The Biden Presidency

I got the finals. Had to go to the state site for Missouri.

Biden 82,077,891
Trump 75,133,738
Jorgensen 1,900,040
Hawkins 412,165 plus a few write ins not yet counted.

The Wikipedia page on the 2020 Presidential Election includes D.C.
and that might explain the differences from the source you use.

I think you might somehow be counting maybe Missouri twice.

From Cook Political.
District of Columbia
Biden: 317,323
Trump: 18,586

Missouri:
Biden: 1,252,873
Trump: 1,718,245

They are added into the present totals. Do you have higher numbers for Missouri?

I see that blind dislike of the US military is alive and well in this forum.
Some people will not be astisfied until a sworn hard line Pacifists is made DOD.
Pick somebody with military expereince to be DOD...how shocking and outrageous.

As did James Mattis when Trump nominated him for SecDef in 2017. Mattis got a waiver by a vote of 81-17 in the Senate and 268-151 in the House, then was passed in the Senate 98-1 (Wikipedia).

But I'm sure there will be...reasons...offered by the GOP why Austin isn't entitled to the same consideration.

Irony is that so far it's Democrats who are objecting to giving him a waiver.

Must be nice to work on a project cradle to grave. First he got to manage the creation of a bunch of drone fired missiles, now he'll get a hand in picking what population centers in the middle east they'll be fired into.

Thanks for reminding me of another reason I am not a progressive...blind hatred of anything to do with the military.
Yeah, pure pacifism would work so well in the real world.

Wrong knee jerk assumption

Yeah, pure pacifism would work so well in the real world.

Raytheon is not the military. It's a private company that profits when people are exploded into pink mist.

Known pinko Dwight Eisenhower explained the dangers of war-profiteers in his famous military industrial complex speech.

I don't have a blind dislike of the military. I do believe however we spend far too much of our budget funding the military. I do think that our military is far too cozy with Defense contractors. That there are massive conflicts of interests when military officers help defense contractors secure funding and then take lucrative jobs with those contractors.

So you see the choice as "pure pacifism" or blind obeisance to military objectives? Insisting on civilian control and supervision of the military is a basic principle of our government. I don't think most people would call SecDefs like Rumsfeld, Cheney, Gates, Hagel etc. pacifists. But maybe you would.

"Many observers tend to believe that the Biden administration will to some extent ease tensions with China in the future. If so, Australia, the current anti-China pioneer, will very likely find itself in a predicament while laying bare its strategic misjudgments. If Biden adjusts US’ China policy, this will force Canberra to reflect and change its previous calculations with Beijing".

China is our biggest trading partner. It needs our food and Trump forced China to buy Australian in his failed tariff war. Thanks Donald!

Are you frightened Bubba, that Biden is going to calm things down so China buys USA farming produce again?

MAKE AMERICA COMPETITIVE AGAIN! (on a level playing field)

Di Dongsheng likes pet Biden, Full transcript

Remember MSM's non-probe of Hunter Biden's payment from China?? "Ten percent for The Big Guy"
Remember how Twitter blocked the NY Post's tweets about Hunter's laptop??

Di Dongsheng, an associate dean of the School of International Studies at Renmin University in Beijing, said that China has long influenced policy in the U.S. thanks to “old friends” in top levels of government and financial institutions, but that Trump’s administration has thwarted efforts to exert recent influence.

This is from a video clip which we are told was deleted from Chinese social media:

Di Dongsheng said:

The neocons and warmongers are in the wings, salivating. They are known to exploit either side of the uni-party, from the top.

No. Do you remember that Giuliani's computer repairman accuser ran away?

Computer repair shop owner, John Paul Mac Isaac, who handed Hunter Biden's laptop to Rudy Giuliani has closed his business and left town
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...op-store-owner-closed-business-left-town.html

You know Giuliani asked Trump for a pardon before Trump gets the boot?
:big:

From that link, John Paul Ringo George's lawyer is raising doubts that the emails Giuliani claimed were from the laptop were actually on it. Interesting!

Nope.

I just copied the table into the spreadsheet and didn't notice the double
entries for Maine, ME-1 and ME-2, and Nebraska, NE-1, NE-2, NE-3.

P. S. Oh, they've finished the table.
