Maybe they should delay the elector vote until Rudy is better and can represent trump better. I am sure his next court appearance will prove once and for all that Trump really won.

Which is why populists typically struggle if they actually succeed in taking power. They are good at promises, easy solutions, and proposing things no one else want to back, but once asked to actually lead, they typically lose popularity quickly.

Another reason why Trump's continued popularity, and 74+ million votes, is so baffling. I know his supporters live deep in post-fact Trumpistan, but you'd think a quarter million dead Americans would be enough to turn people away from him.
 
Perhaps, if they actually accepted that a quarter million Americans *were* dead. These are the same people who believed Sandy Hook was attacked by someone who only shot children who didn't exist.

The swallow may fly south with the sun, or the house martin or the plummer may seek warmer climes in winter, but these are not strangers to our land!
 
I know some of them believe covid deaths can't kill people, and that people die from other causes and the hospitals declare them dead from covid for some reason. Others believe Trump has "done more to fight covid than anyone in the world", and that the deaths aren't his fault. Also some of them handwave the record number of US deaths by saying China probably isn't being truthful about their numbers.

The thing is, though, a quarter million deaths are a quarter million deaths. I'd have thought it'd make them highly critical of Trump and everything about him, period. But apparently not.
