Yep, it was during the AZ election certification signing ceremony. Trump calls right in the middle. Classic.
 
Trump spent about two minutes in Georgia suporting the two GOP candidates, the rest of his rant about how the election was rigged and stolen, and attacked, once again, the Gerogia Governor.
I am beginning to think that Trump would not mind snking the GOP Senate just to pay back the party for not being sufficently loyal to him.
 
Judge in AZ just changed Trump's request for an evidentiary hearing for a Temporary Restraining Order to a hearing to dismiss on Tuesday December 8. This is basically an almost sure sign that she'll listen some what but she's almost certain to dismss. What's also significant is this is safe harbor day.
 
Meanwhile in post-fact Trumpistan, the Trump supporters are still celebrating Trump's... "victory".

Like the others Aftenposten meet, she is confident that Trump won the election. There is no doubt.

- The left is trying to snatch the victory. Everything that has happened is extremely corrupt, she says.

- But if Biden actually takes over in January, do you think Trump should be quiet again in four years?

- I do not even want to talk about it. Trump won this year. He will continue now, she says.

I'm genuenly worried about acts of violence or terrorism from them come inaguration in January.

Exactly. I can forgive voting for him in 2016. I know the various reasons people had for doing so.

In 2020, though? No excuse. I'm tempted to say that if you voted Trump this November, you're a terrible person. Plain and simple.

I bet Trump was watching, and tried the movie/reality TV tactic of calling in the nick of time, and got to see his call rejected in real time.

'Annie and Wendy' from your link are perfect examples of the Trumpers that I think of when I describe Trump supporters as stupid. Nothing gets through to them. They are just that dense.

Also from you article: "In the local Republican party, a full-blown civil war has broken out." I say that's great. If there's one good thing that Trump could leave in his wake, it's weakening the GOP by perhaps breaking it into two parties. I'd love to see the Trump cultists follow him right out of the GOP and form a new party leaving Mitch McConnell and his GOP weak as as a newborn baby.

There's really no getting through to some of them. I think their whole fantasy world has to collapse around them before they can be reached. Until then they'll deflect anything you tell them.

It's really quiet, but as he reaches into his jacket, you can just hear "Hail to the Chief" coming from the phone.

Biden did end up the unlikely hero that delivered the world (well, ok, the US) from the forces of weird, but I think he'll have a lot to answer for if he caves in to ...I don't know, conventional tradition?... and ends up pardoning Trump after all.


As for reforms: Surely this lame duck thing needs to be scrapped, entirely? After the elections are over, get things entirely out of the incumbent President's hands. Designate him or her lame duck, officially, and curtail his or her powers very substantially, leaving them with the barest minimum for the day-to-day running of the country. Ensure that no one else can do what this loon has done (and might still do). Should something like that emerge from this mess, then this crazy stress test the system has been subjected to, would have served some meaningful purpose after all.
 
This is not "stress test". It is "preliminary destruction test". It is not expected to actually destroy anything (this time), but it should significantly weaken thing that is "tested" here.

And reforms? Ha! Over dead body of rethuglicans.
Sooner or latter, they will have to be dealt with like muricans dealt with their spiritual ancestors during first civil war or like humanity dealt with their spiritual brothers during second world war.
