Cont: The Trump Presidency: Part 26

Although Biden managed to flip Georgia, the state election result was fairly tight (less than 1% difference), and there are still a lot of supporters of Stubby McBonespurs in the southern states. A unified republican front would probably be harder for the democrats to overcome than one where Trump has taken to having a temper tantrum, leaving Georgia republicans on their own.
What you say sounds accurate to me. But we are still left with the question “Will Trump be able to not have a temper tantrum while holding a rally in Georgia?”

After all, we can see where this whole ****** show is going by just looking at Trump’s description. “[I’m] going to Georgia for a big Trump Rally in support of our two great Republican Senators, David and Kelly.” It is not a rally for the Republican candidates, it is a “big Trump Rally.”
Oh, I don't doubt that Trump will make the rally all about him. And him having another melt-down wouldn't be unexpected. But his fan base doesn't care, and will still be more likely to vote in the run-off election than if Trump sat in the white house pouting for the next month.

I don't know. There was some data that he underperformed in counties where he held rallies.

I think the facade of competence is finally starting to slide and the crazies that were in the background are coming out front and center. At some point the GOP candidates will have to be asked who the president will be in January and if they hang on to Trump's BS that will discourage some of their supporters. If they hew closer to reality they will get death threats.

Meanwhile the Dems can just point and say: Aren't we done with all that? Let's close this deal for Georgia and for the country.

Trump has apparently posted a tweet that pictures of a Reno hospital are fake, seen by 88 million followers. Question: Can people respond to Trump tweets directly with facts, and if so, are the responses seen by everybody who saw the original tweet? Could somebody like the Lincoln Project maintain a rapid-response team to answer Trump immediately?

To answer the question:
Yes they can
No the responses aren't seen, a typical Trump tweet gets 10k + responses, no-one reads them.

I'd just like to note that Following Trump on Twitter is in no way indicative of support for him (although he thinks otherwise). I like to check out The PDJT's Tweets every few days even though I see most of them here, because sometimes I'm more interested in the comments.

But often I read fewer than about 20 of them. Considering that some of those comment threads to go tens of thousands in a single day, I wonder who has time to read (or save) all of them. I am curious as to how certain commenters often appear at the very top. I'll occasionally make a comment and only very rarely get a response, even something so simple as a Like.

Any response from the White House on Flynn's call for a coup d'etat?

Now, now, he didn't call for a coup; he called for a declaration of martial law (presumably with arrests of those Trump doesn't like), nullification of the election, and cancellation of the inauguration; in order to save the Holy Constitution. We had to destroy the village in order to save it.

What frightens me is that Trump is pretty much crazy enough to do it.

President Trump losing Georgia for third time.

110 of 159 Georgia counties have completed their recount of the November 3rd election. No substantive differences have been seen from the previous two counts.

Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger expects the remaining counties will compete the recount well before the midnight deadline. They will then recertify Joe Biden as the winner and Donald Trump as a loser. The re-certified results will be posted online Wednesday.

This will the third time Trump has lost Georgia.

Speaking of Lincoln Project, they're still at it.

NSFW because of politics that might make your coworkers upset, but also because the ad ends with the narrator telling Trump, not once but twice, to STFU.

No pulled punches.

But if goes off on “the whole thing is rigged and nothing can be done because they are all in on it,” that might prevent a little GOP turnout.

Trump Tweets
If the very dangerous & unfair Section 230 is not completely terminated as part of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), I will be forced to unequivocally VETO the Bill when sent to the very beautiful Resolute desk. Take back America NOW. Thank you!

Jesus Christ, Trump is such a dumbass. When even someone like James Inhofe knows why that's stupid, it's really ******* stupid (link is to The Hill via MSN):

"First of all 230 has nothing to do with the military. And I agree with his sentiments we ought to do away with 230 but you can't do it in this bill. That's not a part of the bill," Inhofe told reporters, referring to Section 230, which gives tech companies protections for third-party content posted on their platforms and allows them to make "good faith" efforts to moderate content.

I mean, c'mon, what next? "If the very dangerous and unfair election that was just held and that I lost is not immediately overturned by Congress or the Supreme Court as part of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), I will be forced to unequivocally VETO the Bill when sent to the very beautiful Resolute desk. Take back America NOW and Give it to ME! Thank you!"

(That little "thank you!" he often throws in at the end of some of his Tweets is a little weird too. It's like he thinks there's an audience hanging on his every word and applauding every time he opens his stupid mouth)

District of Columbia certifies Election

Absolutely the most one sided popular vote total resulting in electoral college delegates.

District of Columbia:
Biden: 317,323 92.1%
Trump: 18, 586. 5.4%

Congress called his bluff and passed the Defense Reauthorization bill

Wow - so he's confirmed it is true.

I had thought it was too blatant to be true, even now I keep over estimating his intelligence.

Parody account of Putin, @DarthPutinKGB, has certain refrain in his tweets.

Do not believe *anything* until the Kremlin denies it TM

Works for all authoritarians and totalitarians. Just replace Kremlin with Trump or others from long, long list of left- or rightwing dictatorships.

The adage "Never believe anything until it's officially denied." is an old one, with published examples as far back as at least 1897.

It certainly has been used a lot since then.

And with good reason.

Closing in on 7 million

Biden: 81,063,888

Trump: 74,121,391

Difference: 6,942,497

Who he will he get to actually do it?
Not the US Military, clear violation of their oath to preserve protect and defend the constiution of the United States.
he can declare martial law, but he has no power to suspend the constituion and order a new election.
