Gives me hope the Trump supporters will grow quiet when Trump leaves office. As a matter of fact, judging from the comments threads I frequent, they've gone more quiet already.

Don't get complacent. There are always places like this:

https://www.reddit.com/r/donaldtrump/

This is an example of a Trumplican echo chamber, and it's only one of many. These people are not open to learning anything that contradicts their faith in Trump. I don't think this crap is just going to die.

It seems Trump has forgotten what his flock has been saying for 4 years:

The Popular vote doesn't matter, it's the EC vote that matters.

It’s probably because he believes that the person with the least number of popular votes is supposed to get the most electoral votes.

Fox is still suggesting that SCOTUS will review Rudy's slapped down case. Giuliani is expected to file an appeal that Justice Alito would first review and then bring to the full court.

Even though a case this pathetic in most other situations Alito would deny immediately. Something tells me however he'll take it to the full court. Not because he thinks the case has merit but because he might be looking for cover. By taking it to the full court it can be smacked down with anonymity. Simply the court denies the writ without knowing which specific judges sided against Trump.

I am curious to see what the Supreme Court will do. I'm sure the Justices will review the writ of certiorari. This would be a bit tough to accept because it does not meet any of the normal guidelines. Those guidelines would be things like an appeal of a state supreme court, or where a circuit court opinion conflicts with a state supreme court or another circuit court, of where the circuit court opinion break precedent. But maybe they will consider this case important enough to have a review simply to show that Trump has had a full and fair day in court.

The Supreme Court may grant the writ but choose to only hear some of the alleged errors. Rudy's appeal is primarily on the denial of his request to amend the complaint again. The Supreme Court may choose to hear just that complaint.

It is possible that Rudy could even win that case. But that would really only be symbolic. That would just let Rudy file his amended complaint. That would raise an additional issue to be reviewed, but he district and appellant court already demolished the case on number of grounds.

So that is not likely. I doubt five Justices would be willing to sit through Rudy making a mockery of the court and drag the politics into the court just to give Trump a bit of saving face by causing a delay.

I expect a writ would be denied. But I would not find any result earthshattering. And none will change the outcome of the election.

SOme in the GOP are worried that Trump will not help them in Gerogia because he feels the GOP has not been loyal enough to him.
I think it is very possible he might decide to go the Thrid Party route where he can have a party that is totally and blindly devoted to Dear Leader, with no behind closed doors grumbling which Trump is fully aware goes on in the GOP. Just doing what he wants is not enough, he must have total love and devotion.

I have a great idea. If people started a Trump for Senate seat write-in campaign those angry Georgia Trump sycophants could show everyone!

Unofficial reports suggest that the recount in Wisconsin has been completed. Trump had previously gained 57 votes. This appears to be negated because Biden gained 132 votes in Milwaukee County.

Biden leads by more than 20,600 votes.

Appears Biden beat Trump in Wisconsin again

This is from an Associated Press story carried by virtual television station KBTX in Waco Texas. In yesterday's White House press conference trump finally answered the question, what will it take to get him to concede the presidency and leave the White House? The answer? The electoral college naming Biden the winner.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Trump, who took questions from reporters for the first time since the election, unleashed another round of complaints about the vote and theatrical warnings that “a lot of things” would happen before the Electoral College meets Dec. 14 that could possibly change results. But while he’s stirring uncertainty about how he will behave in the weeks ahead, there is no real suspense about the outcome.

President Donald Trump still won’t bring himself to concede the election he decisively lost to President-elect Joe Biden. But he’s now acknowledging he will leave the White House if Biden’s win is affirmed by the Electoral College, which is firmly on track to do just that in a few weeks. “Certainly I will,” he said Thursday when asked if he will vacate the premises after electors make Biden’s win formal. “But you know that.” KBXTV link

The question that remains is, how many times does Biden have to win the election? This is really getting ridiculous.

Interesting tidbit - Donnie's sister was a member of the 3rd circuit before retiring last year.

She resigned as questions were raised about her tax dealings:

A judicial ethics probe of President Donald Trump’s older sister, Circuit Judge Maryanne Trump Barry, has ended with her retirement from the federal judiciary.

Four individuals had filed ethics complaints against Barry in October 2018 based on a New York Times report on “dubious tax schemes” by Donald Trump and his siblings, the New York Times reports. Barry, a judge on the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals at Philadelphia, went on senior inactive status after Trump’s inauguration.

You're a bit late with this, he's now tweeted that he'll only concede if Biden proves that his 80 million votes are all legal.

Yup, after failing to provide any evidence of the massive fraud he knows happened, he's taking the classic rogue's way out of trying to shift the burden of proof in a case of "No, you have to prove my claims wrong!"

Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) said:
Biden can only enter the White House as President if he can prove that his ridiculous “80,000,000 votes” were not fraudulently or illegally obtained. When you see what happened in Detroit, Atlanta, Philadelphia & Milwaukee, massive voter fraud, he’s got a big unsolvable problem!

Biden can only enter the White House as President if...
A weird sudden (temporary) switch from being his pitiful & whiny self to trying to be a toughguy. But who does he think thinks he has a choice?

...where’s Hunter!
Why would you need to know? So you can send someone after him?

The complaint for the Georgia case incorrectly cites the Pennsylvania constitution instead of the Georgia constitution, which indicates they were working on a Pennsylvania case and got their information mixed up for the Georgia complaint.
The list of things like that has gotten too long to be sure they can even all be recalled at once: showing up at the wrong building, Freudian-slipping a "second amended" thing into a "second amendment" thing, misspellings all over the place, mixing up Michigan and Minnesota, repeatedly admitting in courts that they had no argument to present which means they knew they didn't when the filed in the first place, using one document in two different jursidictions without even doing a competent find-&-replace nevermind actually writing separate ones for separate circumstances...

It's been clear for a long time that Trump himself was only semi-literate at best, but how in the world did he manage to stock his entire legal team with other semi-literates?

there have been calls in the OANN comment sections to get rid of all those evil RINOs*...

*Usually spelled RHINO'S.
Umm... what?

From Forbes:
Less than a day after saying he would leave the White House should President-elect Joe Biden be voted in by the electoral college, President Donald Trump backtracked, baselessly insisting Friday that Biden "can only enter the White House as President if he can prove" his 80 million votes were not “fraudulently or illegally obtained,” and effectively recanting his closest admission to electoral defeat. Forbes link

This is nonsensical, of course. Who would Biden have to 'prove it' to? Who would keep Biden out of the White House ("can only enter the White House if") if trump's challenge isn't met? The Proud Boys?

Wonder what tomorrow's condition will be? ;)

He hires flunkies--selected for loyalty rather than talent.

There's been some discussion here about whether Trump really believes the things he's saying about fraud, whether maybe those are just things he's saying to further fleece the flock, or to keep the base faithful for another run in four years, or other assorted ascribed motives. I think that all those things are possible, but I don't think that they exclude the possibility, even a likelihood, that he really does believe he won. This is a guy who's been saying since he ran against Hilary that the only way he could lose is for the other side to cheat; I don't see see any reason to think that he doesn't deeply believe that the only evidence that he needs to prove fraud is that Biden got more votes.

Biden won the popular vote? Biden won the Electoral vote? GOP election officials have certified the votes against him? Just about every case brought on his behalf has been pretty much laughed out of court, even by judges he appointed? Those facts are part of the plot. For him, "I won!" isn't a claim that he's making that needs its own evidence to support, it's the default, the faith that stands on its own; and any evidence that contradicts that faith is, by virtue of the contradiction, part of the fraud.

He didn't lose because he couldn't have- I think it really is just as simple and as dumb as that. It wouldn't be that big a deal except that it's the kind of simple and dumb that is catching, and that he's doing his damnedest to infect the country with.
