She wrote a letter explaining herself, and I heard some of it on CNN, but that hardly goes far enough to justify her stalling.

I'm sorry, that is unfair to blame her for that.

Newsweek
While Trump said he would continue with his legal challenges to Biden's victory, he tweeted Monday that he would comply with the GSA's recommendations.

And apparently Trump has Tweeted so it is official. And of course he has not conceded (which he never will).

Trump Tweets

I want to thank Emily Murphy at GSA for her steadfast dedication and loyalty to our Country. She has been harassed, threatened, and abused – and I do not want to see this happen to her, her family, or employees of GSA. Our case STRONGLY continues, we will keep up the good...

...fight, and I believe we will prevail! Nevertheless, in the best interest of our Country, I am recommending that Emily and her team do what needs to be done with regard to initial protocols, and have told my team to do the same.

You'd think by now he would find an alternative to "strongly". :sdl:

More accurately "Trump's account tweets". It's clear as day when he's not the author. Wonder if they let him even see this one before they sent it out, or if he had to be tied up in the corner while they did it.

So they put "STRONGLY" in there as camo?

That's my guess.

I'm not going to say it is a ghostwritten tweet, but if I were I would look at how Trump uses adverbs compared with how "professional writers" have been told to use words. Professional writers are more likely to have bought into the myth of Strunk & White. Does the tweet violate their BS commandments? If so, it's him. If not, it may be ghostwritten.

Trump campaign lawyer Jenna Ellis is still claiming on MSNBC that "President Trump won by a landslide."

Wonder what will be the Trump supporters' next excuse. Unfaithful electors? Some magical court victory?

The obstruction is crumbling. 36 legal cases have been shot down. 5 states certified today including Pennsylvania and Michigan, 7 will certify tomorrow. I think maybe the GSA director decided after Michigan voted to certify that this was over. She better sign off before she became more of a pariah. My guess is the GOP politicians will start publicly admitting it is over in the next few days.

I wonder how long it will be before they start claiming that they always acknowledged Biden had won fairly with no election fraud?

Indeed. These

never seem to take a hit with their brainwashed rubes when their 'God-inspired' prophesies fail. I have to fight the temptation to give up all hope on humanity when I see such idiocy.

My grandmother started hiding the checkbook every Saturday night to keep my grandfather from sending a 'donation' after watching televangelists begging for more money every Sunday morning. That man had a fourth grade education and worked hard as a glazier his whole life. His biggest trip was an inside cabin cruise to Hawaii. But damn, Jimmy Swaggart needed a new jet!

It happens. Depending on the laws of the state such things may or may not be legal. I'm sure it is always illegal to tell people how to fill out a ballot, but exactly how much "help" can be offered may vary from state to state.

One year I was a poll worker, a cow-orker made a minor suggestion to an uncertain voter. The supervisor just happened to be there when it happened. The cow-orker was immediately escorted out the door.

I've seen some headlines in the last few minutes that Trump is conceding. But what they actually describe is people who've been working for Trump conceding. There's no sign yet that they have Trump's orders or even permission to do so.

...and really, there was never any other way this would end anyway but the Republicans, including those in his own offices, turning on him. Most Republican politicians have always hated having him around because he was dangerous to them, the big-business world they all really ultimately work for would never want political doubt/strife/instability, and employees with bad bosses always look for ways to be rid of them.
