I've heard that the SCOTUS might still take up the Pennsylvania case, but only after everything is certified. There is no way they are going to say that "voters who followed the rules don't count if we decide later that the rules are wrong"
What point would there be then? They can't "uncertify." That is not their job. They can only deal with voters themselves, plus any handling of the ballots.
The point of all the Bush Gore thing was to get whatever counting or recounting was going on by the early December date. There was not time to recount all of Florida.
