I think the difference is that they now know you don’t have to resign out of a sense of duty and shame and hypocrisy is fine.

Well, he's kind of right:
Trump's lawyers open the case, and then the judges shut it down (for lack of evidence or lack of actual claim, whichever happens first).

While the Congress critters would understand it, they would know that the Trumpsters in the trenches will deny Trump’s mental illness (or perfect imitate of mental illness) until they die. So they would join the chorus of “Trump was never as bad as Biden is now.” A song with a refrain claiming that not a single strategy, not a single goal, not a single sentence ever, ever, ever indicated that Trump was a narcissist of the first water - the very acme of egotism - a self-serving, four-flushing, unoriginal, unsubtle, unimaginative clown.

And perhaps worse in the post factual age: he is a troll that is ever so easy to troll.

I know this stuff has been talked about for years. If only they could get going on that as quickly as the latest Supreme Court Justice was rushed through.
 
So, what's he going to get from Indonesia? There must be a reason he made an exception to his "not doing any presidenting work now" policy. Trump hotel in Jakarta? I can see him being stupid enough to buy real estate there without knowing the place is sinking into the sea. Or perhaps they were offering him asylum when it's time for him to flee?

The meeting was with the Indonesian minister of maritime affairs. I thought the president normally met with heads of state?
