Some time ago I poo poo'd the notion that Trump would do exactly what he's doing right now, which is attempt to stay in office even if he lost.

I was wrong about that, I was also wrong about the extent to which the Republicans would back him up. They're pretty mixed right now but still much more willing to go with his awefullness than I had hoped. I still expect that the secret service will drag him out by his feet come January. If nothing else, he's a ****** boss, they'll be glad to be rid of him.

I was trying to remember why the Twitter notification sounded familiar, then I got it. It's from the Dr. Horrible Sing-Along Blog, after Captain Hammer saves his girlfriend Penny by throwing her across the street into the garbage:

No, the "eviction", when it comes, will be at 3am and by means of a darkened limo. He will be "escorted" into it by security, locked in, and driven to the airport (or train station). He will be debouched and left to his own devices, cardboard box in hand like Dominic Cummings just was in the UK, an abject loser. Oh, and the world media will be there to take his picture for posterity. He will NOT like that!

I wonder if that study included Wisdom Teeth? In the US they’re often removed en masse prophylactically at the first sign of trouble. With Wisdom counted I’m missing 6 at age 71, but without only 2 which I think is pretty good.

Well, that happened somewhat sooner than I thought...
Trump expected to order troop withdrawals from Afghanistan and Iraq

But it looks like it's going to be closer to January 15, just so that he can transfer all the resultant chaos to the Biden Administration. What a prick.

And Americans aervicemen will die because of this.

Enve those who favor a gradual withdrawal from Iraq and Afghandsitan say this quick withdrawal is a terrible idea.
It will also betray the Afhanis who have supported us, and will lower our creditiblity to almost zero.
He is going to do as much damage as possible before he leaves office.
And the GOP cheers him on.

Good question. At 66, I've got every single damn tooth including all four wisdom teeth.
 
New York TImes reporting Trump is asking his military advisors about a mssaive airstrike against Iran's Nuclear Plants.
If Trump really is doing a "bucket list" of things, be afraid, be very afraid.

A political decision if ever there was one. So I suspect the Pentagon military commanders will slow-walk this one for a couple of weeks to a month or so. Needs more assessment...proper assets not in position just now...need more troop-carrying things...ground conditions not right...gotta pack up stuff so the Taliban don't use it against us later...weather...bad time of year...stars out of alignment...sunspots... They know how to get this done. ;)
