I think that is wrong. It's assuming their memories will last 2 or 4 years. Trump's power will diminish the moment he leaves the White House if not sooner.

A simple statement by politicians that says
"We need to recognize reality.
We fought the good fight together and unfortunately came up short.

Let's continue our battle and take it back in 2024!

It would instigate a revolution. It would also make the court irrelevant.

Perhaps Trump himself, but the sort of voters who put him into power will still be here, and will be nursing grudges against anyone they think responsible for this year's losses.

A simple statement by politicians that says
"We need to recognize reality.
We fought the good fight together and unfortunately came up short.

Let's continue our battle and take it back in 2024!

And they'll continue with the same arms and ammunition their party has been using for the past several decades with such success..

Their rallying cry may be something like, "We're not backing a loser like Trump this time!", but they'll still be selling the same snake oil to the same old customers. FUD and bigotry. Why should they give that up? It's been working fine. Yeah, they underestimated what a train wreck Trump would turn into, but they've got a lot of company there. On both sides.

That doesn't mean the entire formula is headed for the trash heap. Just the face they picked.

I'm sure many will be looking for someone as nuts as Trump, but its not likely to be Trump and almost no one is going to think taking it out on some GOP Senator who simply acknowledges reality. They might get mad now, but their anger and memory will fade.

Their memories will. The inconvenient ones, anyhow. :rolleyes:

But their anger won't. and it won't find focus on any of the Repugnicans who supported their hero.

It will be nurtured and aimed with laser-like precision on the people they see as having failed to support the man they worshipped, irrespective of the political party of those who betrayed them.

I saw it with my own eyes. Trump and Biden were tied, and then, suddenly, they cut away and the camera comes back and, oh, wait, Trump has less votes. What happened? People unvoted?
