Allegations of Fraud in 2020 US Election

It's well earned. There are plenty of proto-fascist organizations that need help. They'll be fine.
Why would they be safe there? People were knocking off Fox's sponsors. There's no limiting principle. You don't stop chasing Nazi's just because they've joined a new Nazi party down the street.

You need to look at yourselves. When you are riding around killing all your enemies with dragon fire, maybe you need to ask whether after all you might not be the good guys.

It strikes me that it is also a mad thing to do to harass the legal profession in this way when potentially you are going to be dealing with supreme court justices who I imagine feel some kind of professional obligation to defend their colleagues and who I have a hard time believing are uncomfortable with the idea of lawyers making the best case possible for bad people. Some of those supreme court justices have had a small taste of what is being dished out to trump. People must be mad to think this is productive irrespective of it being wicked.

What lies did their lawyers tell?

Trump's attorneys went into court and claimed there was massive fraud in the election and when specifically asked if they had actual knowledge of fraud, they replied "no".

In another case,
His attorneys said "their weren't any Republican monitors in the counting room".
Then the judge asked them directly "were their GOP monitors in the room" ?
They replied "there were non- zero number of monitors".
At which point the judge asked the lawyer "as a member of the bar in this court were there monitors in the room?
And he then answered "yes".

So in both cases the attorneys knew they were pressing lawsuits based on lies and only when being faced down by judges did they revert to the truth.

How long are you going to continue this charade?

I didn't mischaracterize what was done, see above. I don't blame you folks for not knowing. This doesn't seem to be getting any coverage in left wing media, so how would you know? It looks like the reason the lawyers are leaving is because they are being targeted for political harassment. All this makes it easier for Trump to craft an exit where he blames his political enemies for losing. It's self defeating.

What is “political harassment”? Is it criminal?

"Blah, blah, blah defend the rule of law, blah, blah, blah.... I see no problem with harassing lawyers to try and prevent someone getting legal representation". It's this attitude that makes it easy for Trump supporters to see themselves as the good guys. You're frightening when you think you have power.

You used the word “harassing” again. Are you alleging criminal behavior?

I'm not aware of these people actually being harrassed. Maybe they should take the offenders to court.

Let him be laughed out of court then. Setting the mob on his lawyers/celebrating the mob being set on his lawyers is a sign that maybe you have stared too long into the abyss.

What “mobs” are you talking about?

Are these like the right wing mobs that descended on ballot-counting centers, armed and threatening people’s lives?

Or is this somehow a worse kind of “mob”? Because you clearly didn’t give a **** about the right wing mobs.

It is the legal process. Trump is following it, the people harassing his lawyers are behaving appallingly. I don't see how he wouldn't have some kind of legal case against them for doing this. It looks like you've won. Can't your side stop and be the good guys? It's like the Game of Thrones ending.

Again, it’s Republicans doing it to other Republicans.

The other thing is that the chances of him winning in court was always very low. The only way I am aware of that anybody has succeeded in doing what he is trying to do is through the political process. It would be far better strategically for him to enter that political part of the process having lost the court cases and failed to find any evidence of fraud/error etc... than to have had him prevented from even trying by a mob that is threatening the livelihood of every Republican donor and staffer. This is making it harder than it needs to be for the Republican's in congress to drop him.

Why weren’t you this upset when it was right wing mobs with guns surrounding ballot-counting centers and terrorizing the volunteers inside?

These messages brought to you by someone who said nothing when right wingers were issuing death threats to election officials.

Well, if that's what they were doing then that is terrible as well and there is some level of similarity in the nature of the terrible. People have to be allowed to vote without pressure. My feeling is that the left has a much greater level of cultural hegemony. I don't believe the right have the power to do what is being done to these lawyers. Cancel culture is overwhelmingly a tool of the left.
