Trump live in the Rose Garden:

What is refreshing is that I've been watching the local (NBC station) news since 4:00pm, and they have even mentioned that he's doing a speech, much less showing it.

I guess he's just not as newsworthy anymore.

Good.

ETA: Rats. They just switched over to him.

Dammit. Now I'll have to find something else to put on the tube for a while.

ETA 2: Whew, saved. They broke away from his lie marathon before I finished feeding the cats.

Heavy sigh of relief.

He is attacking Governor Coumo and accusing him of mishandling the criris.
He just said the US has the lowest rate of Covic in the world.....

Trump tweets

Heartwarming to see all of the tremendous support out there, especially the organic Rallies that are springing up all over the Country, including a big one on Saturday in D.C. I may even try to stop by and say hello. This Election was Rigged, from Dominion all the way up & down!

I wonder if he'll have his goons come in and teargas the crowd before he starts.

That's how he handles that kind of stuff in D.C., isn't it?

ALready heard three lies in the first minute of Trump's speech, iwth the promise of many more to come.

He started out by claiming that Pfizer was part of his "Operation Warp Speed," even though Pfizer says it isn't.

I swear it seems that Pence's only job is to stand and praise the leadership of others, not actually provide any of his own.

So tired of that guy.

Biden's margin of victory continues to grow in the US overall and in Pennsylvania

President Elect Joe Biden 78,126,758

The Lying Orange Turd 72,733,263

America's winning margin 5,393,495

Also in Pennsylvania, Biden now leads by 63,421 votes.

I think so. But honestly, if Trump weren't in the picture I think almost everyone would have said that Biden was way to old this year.

They would have said that about both candidates in 2016 as well...not to mention Reagan in 1980.

A slight rewritting of a classic Civil War song seems appropriate:

"Biden's dashing Yankee boys will never reach the coast!"
So the saucy Trumpists said and 'twas a handsome boast
Had they not forgot, alas! to reckon with the Host
While we were marching through Georgia.

So we made a thoroughfare for freedom and her train,
Sixty miles in latitude, three hundred to the main;
Treason fled before us, for resistance was in vain
While we were marching through Georgia.
(Chorus)

Hurrah! Hurrah! We bring the Jubilee1
Hurrah! Hurrah! The flag that made you free!
SO we sang the Chorus from Atlanta to the Sea
As we were Marching Through Georgia!".

I'll bet something like that shows up on youtube in a day or two. If Biden hadn't won Pennsylvania, it would have been guaranteed.

Jimmy Carter used to really hated that song, because bands would play it for him, because it was a jaunty tune that had "Georgia" in it, but apparently a lot of people didn't know the history behind it.

I think he's too old, but I still voted for him. I think it hurt him at the polls. It's so difficult to say what really mattered when so many people had their minds so firmly made up. Lots of people, including me, would have voted for literally anyone over Trump, no matter how many gaffes they made on the campaign trail. Likewise, there are still a lot of people who would never vote for any Democrat, no matter who the Republican nominee is.

You have to remember that Pence only got the job because no other Republican of any prominence would take it. At the time of the Republican convention in 2016, it was widely assumed that Trump was going down in flames, and no one who had any future ambition wanted to be tied to him. Pence was not going anywhere above Governor of Indiana, and he wasn't up for election, so he had nothing to lose.
